This HAS to be one of my favorite makeovers so far! I would love to have a room like this someday - the built ins would be perfect for all my sewing, knitting, & beading supplies & sewing machine & the desk would be perfect for doing computer work or paperwork for my horse training business. I LOVE all the white with the gorgeous rug as a pop of color!

I love the way the space came out but like everyone else I feel that the other half of the room reveal needs to happen. Some suggestions... 1) Color match the orange oak wood shelves with the built-ins, cover the shelf holes that won’t be used to give it a higher end look. Display some of your products for inspiration. 2) Install 3 acrylic type boards (representing each of your businesses) to brainstorm on. You have a cleaning service, cleaning cloths and maybe next will be cleaning supplies to expand the biz. Hope you continue to enjoy your new space and I wish you many blessings in your endeavors.

Nice to see a Minimalist look that is not overdone with "stuff". It speaks to you instead of shouting at you. Also nice to see white used as an intentional color choice. I apprectiate the wall paper standing alone. The design really carried a Zen feel that would be a great work space without a lot going on around you that can be distracting from creativity and thought. The bright red lips gave the room a nice smile and quirky surprise! I did not miss seeing the other unseen wall as I assume it was used as functioning office items.

I love it so much! I do wish it had even more color tho, but she can add and personalize on that blank slate. A neon sign above the mirror and a cool colored chair would look stunning!

Thank you Alexandria for using the gold striped wallpaper with that rug. I have a large colorful rug in my living room and have been thinking of doing wallpaper. This video has shown me a subtle pattern will be fine.

I am so happy it is white, airy, calm, and the rug adds just enough color to make the desk “stand” out 😆 Right now, I am transitioning the colors in my house from bright , loud colors that used to make me happy - into white and neutral colors for a more calming and peaceful environment! Good job in keeping things simple and classy!

@Maroxa’s Way I see that now. Yet Alexandra didn't do anything with it, as she usually does. Plus, we don't see the other half of the room at all. I'm thinking it might be open to her living room or dining room, maybe? And that set of wood-looking shelves to the left of the door wasn't shown in the before pics, I don't think. It sure doesn't go with the vibe of the new decorating scheme. ;)

@@jemma50 One wall is sliding glass doors to the patio/pool area. The other wall was weird wood paneling and isn't open to anything, so it doesn't really make sense.

Even though Alexandra didn't do the built ins, the floating shelves were a definite Alexandra detail. The room looks beautiful. Love how the wallpaper and the drawer pulls work together. Love the pops of color playing off the rug. Kind of surprised the desk only had one item on it, but maybe because she knows the customer so well.

I love this because you've allowed for colour to be added afterwards so that she can really customise it to how she wants. There's just enough colour added to inspire creativity in the rug. Love the gold accents in the wallpaper. What a beautiful office! Well done!

I really like this space. At first I thought the rug is way to small and then she brought in the bigger rug. Thank goodness as she often buys these tiny rugs that seem out of place.

I like how you kept most of the room neutral so 1) the rug would for sure work with all the color, 2) she could literally put any supplies of any color in there without color clashing (bonus points for a multicolored rug to further make any color of supplies look intentional) and 3) it goes with her kind of minimalist aesthetic.

With the desk in the middle of the room, what have you done with the power cables? Wouldn't they be a tripping hazard?

They can be easily hidden. Lots of stores sell hidden tracks with a slit so you can stick it to any surface and tuck the cords away

It’s a little disappointing. Love the wallpaper and built in space. There are so many other ways you could have brought in COLOR, besides a random rug that matches nothing in the space. A color chair. Colorful curtains. Something else.

I agree. I really like the rug and wallpaper but i feel much more could have been done to bring more colour and personality to the space. It didnt feel like Alexandra had much input in the makeover. And it intrigues me that they didnt show the whole room. Maybe they are saving for part 2?
