I would be cautious of eliminating a bathroom if you’re concerned about resale anytime soon. The only reason why I felt confident in eliminating this bathroom is because I built an add-on closet suite to the opposite side of my bedroom that included a master bath; replacing the tiny bath, originally built for the bedroom.

That was great! But can I ask, how did you cover the floor drains from the toilet and the tub? thanks!

Unfortunately I can’t take credit for the entire project. I hired a local carpenter to complete that task at a reasonable price.

I plan to do this with our bathroom for IF we have a third baby. Whether that be biological or through adoption, this is so creative!

I have a condo 2 bedroom and 2 bathroom and im honestly thinking of removing the bedroom bathroom and turning it into an office like you did. My main worry is will it effect resale value?
@MarieLamour-cv1jc10 күн бұрын
Yes, it will

So what did you have to do to cover the toilet drain and the tub drain?
@traceysdiynetwork Жыл бұрын
That part of the process was over my head, so we contracted out that part of the job.

Did you have a professional remove the toilet and vanity? I'm trying to figure out how to remove my useless small 3rd bathroom to turn it into a laundry room.
@traceysdiynetwork4 жыл бұрын
Ultimately a professional finished the job of toilet removal. I started the process by detaching the toilet from the bathroom floor; however, the professional came in and took care of the sealing process to prevent the gasses from entering the home. The vanity is located on the outside of this small bathroom space, like you see at some hotels, with access to the vanity from the bedroom. We decided to leave that in place.

A enemy in your home is worse than a enemy in the streets. I just got a idea from this video. My idea is to make the outside shed into a man cave with a office and bathroom for when someone usually uses the bathroom inside of the home for a office

Wow! Glad that you were able to find a new idea. We actually did the same thing; turning the garage into the man cave/office. We opened the connecting in-law suite that had the bathroom facing the side where the two connected...Perfect fix!
