Very nice video, as Marc said, we shouldn't rely on the outside. But I'm one of those people who looks at the outside a lot. So my question is this: when you've done a major renovation like this on your house, can you call it new? Or at least have fewer repairs to make for the next 10 years? Because the first comparison that comes to mind is: for the same price, why would I choose a renovated house over a new one? Or am I comparing what shouldn't be compared? 😅 Otherwise, I love following you. The couple effect gives a reassuring feeling, there are also other real estate agents but too much marketing. But keep on with your videos 🎉, I hope I'll maybe find my haven. 😊

Great question!
Although you can’t call it a “new” house officially, a renovated home will give you the feeling of new. As for repairs over the next 10 years, it will depend on what renovations were done, and if they were done by a reputable contractor. When doing major renovations, it’s not uncommon to discover issues that were hidden. A reputable contractor and responsible homeowner will always address those issues rather than work around them, or just hide them. New versus previously-owned: You are right. Most anyone would choose new over previously-owned if they had the luxury of having the choice of a brand new home versus a previously-owned home sitting side by side for the same price. But we’ve yet to see that be an option :).
Instead, what will normally influence someone’s decision are things like a home’s location (including school district, neighbourhood, proximity to amenities,etc..), features in the home that are important to a buyer, and the property itself (the outdoor space) among other things. New homes can also come with extra expenses a buyer doesn’t think of right away, like major appliances, curtains and blinds, and in some cases landscaping, and paving the driveway. Those things can be very expensive and quickly drive your overall price well over the initial price of the house. Hope that helps!

@@deniseandmarc_realtors thank you for all these elements, it helped me a lot and above all to raise several other questions. But this conversation, we will do it face to face 😉😄😁
