Lack of family doctors is strange for me as my mother lives in NB and seems to get a new doctor every year or two, as I live in Ontario and haven't had a family doctor for 8 years
@deniseandmarc_realtors
@deniseandmarc_realtors Күн бұрын
That’s interesting! I’m my 50 years I’ve only had 2 family doctors. I guess I’ve been lucky 🙂 That said, I can see getting a new Dr if your current one is retiring or moving to another area. When that happens most current patients are able to get placed with another doctor. The challenge is more so for someone new to NB to get one.

Hey Guys , Nice videos have to appreciate!! As you guys are local & canadians therefore would like to know how's the reputation of Crandall University for Masters course ? You can simply answer : Good , Average & Bad. Looking forward for your revert :)

Since neither of us have direct personal experience with Crandall or it’s masters program, it’s hard for us comment other than the fact that Crandall has a good reputation overall.

Oh my fiance and I were looking at this place when it showed up online! But we and our agent had concerns with the cost of running propane and the area. 🥲 I really did like the layout of the house! How high is the basement ceiling? It seems low.

If you or your agent would like to reach out to us ([email protected]), we have info about the propane costs that you will probably like :) We have not measured the height of the basement ceiling, but I would. say approx. 7ft, maybe an inch or 2 less.

If you're going to move to NB you will save 30% or more purchasing a home 15-30 minutes outside of a big city but it comes with bigger lots for more privacy, less crime, lower taxes and small town vibes. The highways are great and traffic is always flowing easily.

I am in the construction field I do drywall installation for new built houses. How is it busy? And is it worth relocating from Ontario
@deniseandmarc_realtors
@deniseandmarc_realtors 17 күн бұрын
There is always quite a bit of new construction happening in the Greater Moncton area including detached homes, semi-detached homes, townhouses as well as quite a few large apartment building projects. So while we can't tell you whether or not it's worth relocating here specifically for work, I think it's fair to say that if you do good work, and show up everyday, you should be able to find work relatively easily.

We moved here 5 years ago and only stayed because we got in before property assessments went crazy and we are so far out in the country that we are practically living with the bears. If we were considering moving here today, property tax would be a deal breaker. The following examples are of houses in Shediac. It’s a similar story for Moncton. Ex. An owner occupied house sold in 2022 was assessed at 220K in 2022 and 350K in 2023. Taxes went from $3100 to $5100 Another owner occupied house right across the street sold in 2016 was assessed at 250K in 2022 and 350K in 2023. Taxes went from $3600 to $3900. Both houses have no changes made to them that year. There is no standard in the assessment increase nor tax rate increase. The justification for the assessment increase is the market value. The power that be forget that this increase is not realized until a house is sold. At this rate, people will be taxed right out of their homes. And what regular Joe would not be leery of buying if they get hit with a huge tax increase the following year? As for small Mom and Pop landlords, STAY AWAY. NB charges more for non-owner occupied houses and rent is limited due to the lower salaries. IF you get good paying tenants and maintenance is manageable, you may be left with crumbs. The rest will go to paying taxes. Ex. A rental property sold in 2022 went from assessed value of 228K in 2022 to 350K in 2023. Taxes was $3300 in 2022 to $7200 in 2023. This must be paid in lump sum. Non-owner occupied homes must pay property taxes by May 31 of each year, no options to do instalments. A common headline in the news is how much property values have increased. I think in the frenzy to boost the province’s image, it is forgotten that there are people behind these numbers. Most of us just want to live comfortably in a home whether it’s owned or rented. And this is getting to be impossible with the province bleeding home owners dry through taxes. This is all on top of the more expensive food and gas. A province is only as good as the contentment of its people. Advice for would be home owners in NB is to armed yourselves with info before buying. A good website is paol-efel.snb.ca/?lang=en or just google NB property assessment. As for home owners who disagree with their assessments, don't hesitate to ask for review every year. Just be aware that assessments come out January of every year and you have a limited time to request a review of 30 days. Most people get caught off guard because the tax amount doesn't show up until March and it's too late to request a review by then. Everything else is lovely! People, nature, the open spaces, the water, and even winter! :)

There is an obvious split in Moncton. French first and yes get rid of anyone from another province if not able to speak French.
@deniseandmarc_realtors
@deniseandmarc_realtors 27 күн бұрын
Not sure where you're getting the idea that Moncton is getting rid of anyone from another province who doesn't speak French or how they'd have to power to do it. The last census shows population has grown by 8000 between 2016 and 2021. 68.2% claim English as their first language. We have helped MANY people relocate from other provinces and the majority spoke English.

New Brunswickers, in general, do not want more people coming here, either from other countries or canadian provinces. They believe more people moving to NB will add more problems to their catastrofic health care system, job market and housing crisis. Do a throrough research, read NB news, look for NB groups in social media and read the comments and postings about the cities you are interested in, before moving.

Our 2 hospitals are very near each other. Most neighbourhoods between the 2 would be ok. Our downtown area is close to the George L. Dumont hospital - that is an area you may want to avoid if possible.
