What I love about Ben and Erin is they way they reach out to ALL people. The way they treated the people of Wetumpka was just spectacular. When I see these two- I realize that the USA that I loved when I was a student still exists-This is the real USA-the melting pot.There are really good people in the USA who really care. I truly believe in my heart that Ben and Erin are the real deal.

I'm not a huge fan of most of the HGTV hosts because they feel forced and fake. Hometown is the only one I've really enjoyed to watch. Erin and Ben have such wonderful small-town personalities and they're just effortlessly down to earth. As somebody living in a small town, I really appreciate what they do.

I personally love how their houses have actual personalities. Other shows are just like “Make the whole thing white for 200k,’ while they manage to redo an entire, and sometimes completely rundown, house for about 100k.

I was pleased to see that they had black families included because the history of Mississippi is horrible and ingrained in many black families lives and that is why the great migration happened because of the hateful politics and leaders. They are amazing. I grew up near Laurel. I graduated from a university near Laurel. It’s amazing little town. I also grew up in a small town, I have seen how much growth in how much my little oasis from the big city I live in another State many miles away. I love going home to MS.

My favourite HGTV show. Both are so talented.I especially admire the woodworking and furniture making skills of Ben, but Erin also creates wonderful things. I especially like the homes that show some colour and fun - there are too many other shows on HGTV that only show grey, grey, grey houses, maybe sometimes a bit of black and white. Boriing! Give me some colour, please! So, yes, love the work of Erin and Ben Napier. Great what they do for their beautiful home town. Please more of that!

Just love to watch anything they do. It’s so refreshing from any of these other “home improvement” shows because they are genuinely interested in small towns thriving and the people whose families generations ago made it what it was. I love hearing the history of previous homeowners and how they re-purpose / recycle items that actually have a profound meaning to the new homeowner. That makes it so much more special than just a bunch of store-bought furniture. My husband who is an architect loves to watch home-improvement shows but he goes for more of the high end-high tech homes… Until he got Covid and was forced to stay at home for eight days while he was sick. I just happen to be home one morning when I had the day off and wanted to watch one of the episodes of the Wetumpka, Alabama series. My husband watched it with me and said he thought it was nice and enjoyed it, but not too enthusiastic. When I came home from work the next afternoon I could tell from the DVR he had binged watched 11 episodes of their previous shows, so he is definitely a closet fan though he might not admit it 😉

I adore Home Town! Ive been following since their first season on HG. We would love none other than Ben and Erin to help us with our renovation on our home. We have been here for 18 years. Built in ‘68. I love her style, timeless, cozy, mixed textiles, wood and beautiful!

Andalusia Alabama could stand some help. Sadly the center of town has a traffic circle around a pretty grassy area, and the court house is right across the street. But beyond that it’s something you see frequently. Run down small town America. We landed here by accident and I have wanted to leave ever since. Unfortunately there are some serious issues in the way. But looking at the town itself and the lovely old homes you can see the potential. There’s a Walmart, a Piggly Wiggly, Pay ‘n’ Save, a Tractor Supply, tons of fast food places, but there’s also much retail space sitting empty. If the situation ever changes, I plan to trash everything but my clothes, the trailer we live in and our truck. The last 2 items will be the last to go!

I know that there are a number of struggling mobile home parks that need overhaul in their beauty. Henry County, IL has several mobile home parks that need renovation of new homes and beautiful landscape. Not every mobile home occupant is a mess. It is a series of communities within small town areas that need the beautiful overhaul. I vow not to see the occupants of these mobile home parks being exploited by an exploited series of failures by others in charge.
