I think the Napiers should have government support to get small towns restored by bringing back people who will choose a house that needs some work but they will get so much more for their money than what they could get in the city, where its over run and there is not much for a family compared to these small towns. Laurel is a lucky town to have this beautiful couple who are helping people to transform an older home and turn it into something beautiful. Governments should be giving that support to people in the city to say 'you can rebuild your life by rebuilding an old home and transform it into your own Forever Home" so let's take a page out off the Napiers book of getting life back into a small town. We need to do this all over the world. I am in Australia and we need the same done here. It would work in everyones favour. a win win. Absolutely💚💙💜 them. They have genuine passion of small towns and their efforts to revitalize them are amazing. They seem so down to earth and so talented with the skills they bring. I really enjoy seeing the personalization to every project along with the history of the previous homeowner and how they always add a touch of something recycled or re-purposed that has great sentimental value and meaning to the new homeowner. My husband who is an architect enjoys watching other design shows which are very high-end and high tech. To me those shows have no personality and are unrealistic for the average family. He watched one episode of the Wetumpka, Alabama series. He said he enjoyed it but didn’t seem overly enthused about it. 2 weeks ago he got Covid and had to stay home from work eight days as he was pretty sick. One day I looked at our DVR to record a show and noticed he had binged watched 22 episodes of their shows over the last week. 😉☺️😊

I love these two! My wife watched HGTV all the time which led to many home projects that I would have to do. I never watched HGTV thinking it was not for me. Then I discovered Ben and Erin and their Wonderful show HOME TOWN. Ben's approach to remodeling, use of tools, his love of woodworking and of course his sense of humor that's natural and not forced. Besides being a doll, Erin's vision of projects is amazing. To see wall locations and architectural possibilities is a treat to watch. Then her taste in decorating is always tasteful and never over the top like so many on the channel. Never does she bling for the sake of catching the eye. I would love to live in a home of her design. Finally Ben and Erin's fun loving affection for each other is as sweet as can be.

California in a small town that turned into a metropolitan area in the 60 years that I was there, I really don’t think I could have stayed and just asked 300,000 people to leave so I could have my town back. But I get your gist. Now I’m in small town Tennessee and plan on teaching them about maintaining their small town presence and what will happen if they don’t.
