Nice work Jeff! You may have done it even faster by not removing the front brakes and uprights from your car. Just undo the steering rod ball joint and the 3 upper nuts for the shock on the body and you can swing the full strut out of the wheel arch. I did it twice, it works.

Looks good. Keen to see it on track soon. However, just keep in mind some scrutineers don't like spacers as they can be a safety risk even though they are bolt on. I got pinned for mine and I had arp wheel studs on mine, so double check you can run them at the events you are looking at. Buy keen to see the progress.

To bleed brakes with vacuum, you could put some grease around the bleeder not to suck in air. Even better is to use teflon tape on bleeders when installing them. I also recomend quickbleed bleeders. They have oneway valve built into them 😉

Or rathe. Goodridge speed bleeder😅 those have the valve built into then. So to bleed the brakes you simply crack the bleeder, put a hose onto it and pump the pedal.

Good Choice for the Wheels, very light. Some AP Brakes will really be a Good choice. Lightweight, race proved and good on the road. Also a Proper spoiler and front splitter will really help in the corners, maybe along the lines of the GT4 !

I had the exactly same problem when bleeding, use vaseline arround the nipple to avoid air coming through the threads, works like a charm!

I'm familiar with the issue you mentioned with vacuum bleeders. Air will enter from the treads, and you are seeing bubbles on the bleeder hose all the time. I solved this issue by starting the bleeding process by removing the bleed nibble and adding some thick grease to threads before reinstalling. The thick grease will prevent the air being pulled in through threads. sometimes sometimes if I have been lazy I have just smeared the grease at the bottom of threads, but that way the seal might not be as good.

I think any extra air flow to the engine will be supplied through that horrendous gap in the rear bonnet. Is there anything to be done about that? Or is that the way it has to stay?

I agree 100%. I bought the exact same vac bleeder for the bike and it's a piece of rubbish. The idea is excellent, but it just sucks to much air and never, ever seems to work as advertised..

Looks great. So confirming that you left the preload as they came out of the box? I've got a set of Titan waiting to go on my 996. Were you tempted to replace some suspension bits while you were there? Coffin arms, lateral arms etc? I got mine out and they were shot.

Porsche has moved their engine in the 911 towards the center of the car more and more with each new model. Clearly even they know that mid engine is the smarter way, but for marketing reasons they can't admit it..

It would be more ideal to have a wheel with the correct offset in the first place, but it's not spacers that hurt the suspension geometry, it's having the wrong effective wheel offset. Without the spacers, these wheels would sit too far in because they have a different offset than factory.
