Definitely one of the top choices when I need to make a clean, quick, simple & nutritious soup /dish. No oil, contain variety of green leafy, mushrooms, & carrot. Great for any day to have a clean meal. Just for the white pepper, I prefer to put it last after turning off the heat for a better peppery taste

Hi OH Kim Geck, thank you for the comment 😄 Home cooked food focuses on the natural taste/sweetness from ingredients and less on the artificial food flavourings like MSG, chicken stock cubes, etc. I find that adding oyster sauce into the soup gives the food a similar flavour as boiling bones to make a stock, so for simple soups, I will use it as a shortcut/alternative to bone stock 😄

Hi Kanan Thakker, it's Choy Sum leaves, which is "Chinese flowering cabbage" in English 😀 It's a type of sweet leafy greens that I like to add in the soup. You can use cabbage, Chinese broccoli (Kai Lan), or "Chinese cabbage" (bok choy) if Choy Sum is not available. Hope it helps 😀
