Thanks for the review! Did you find any tools that were a pain to store with the shallower drawers? Would you make the same move to the 56" again?

I would do this box again. The problem with the shallow drawers is that tools in their cases dont fit.

The drawers on the smaller box look deeper then the larger box. Larger box looks like it has more shallow drawers.

Yea I personally rather have the drawers on the smaller box. Too many shallow drawers mean less flexibility for me.

I got the 52 inch and the 80 inch. i really like both. had them for about 3 years now, i use them daily in an industrial setting. no complaints so far.

If I remember the 80 inch was made with thinner metal and I wasn't sure how well it would hold up. I'm glad to hear that they are working for you.

@@KGsGarage yea I wanna say it’s made from 19 gauge. Seems sturdy enough though

@@imbrandon16 any of the 16/18~20 gauge is 👍🏾 on the other hand I would stay away from the 24 gauge and thinner Toolboxes... Anything 22 gauge or higher in all honesty id just skip, but with proper substructural bracings a 22 gauge could work out fairly well

Id like to know why you can only buy that 52" box in Canada and they're made in 20 gauge and not 18.

The 56" is currently 40% more expensive than the 52". Seems like a huge price increase for 4" of width and a pair of casters.

I cant believe though the 56" didn't have the magnetic strip in the hutch! And the locking mechanism does look to be more rugged on the 52"... I do like the flush mount plugins in the 52" hutch also too because it doesn't take up any space like the long power strip on the 56" has... However flush mounted on the backside would be BEST since the cords being plugged in on the side get in the way when you go to put other tools you've used away (with them in the back THE PLUGS & THE CORD ITSELF DONT GET IN THE WAY! So you'll HAVE TO EITHER USE ZIP TIES WITH A MAGNETIC CORD/LINE HOLDER TO HELP RE-ROUTE THE CORDS TIGHTLY BUTTED UP ALONGSIDE THE SIDES, although the plug-in 🔌 itself will still protrude out which will STILL TAKE UP SPACE AND POSSIBLY GET IN THE WAY OF PUTTING TOOLS AWAY THAT ARE PLACED CLOSER TO THE SIDES... A Right angled plug-in will be the solution here) Honestly Husky should just make the 56" design alongside the bottom in the back of the TOP HUTCH, but just FLUSH MOUNTED and it will SOLVE EVERYTHING! EFFICIENTLY AND CONVENIENTLY!!! Lastly I like that the Trim goes all the way up the sides of the 52" (and if they are just double sided taped, then just buy the same bolts as used on the 56" and tape them in, use a rivnut and countersink if you even have to and the trim will NEVER fall off then!) Thanks for sharing this!

I've looked at the newer ones and they have made some design changes. i think the plugs are now recessed into the sides.

1st thanks for sharing your Toolbox adventures. What I get for My buck means alot to Me.! I looked at Kobalt, US General, Craftsman and Husky all for home use. I've spent time doing my homework finding what's best for me. For Christmas 2020 I'll be buying the Husky Model #H52CH6TR9HDV3 w/36795c.i. of storage and w/ LED lighting. I like the riveted drawer slides. The others come loose too hard to maintain. I'm hoping for a Black Friday Deal soon. HOWEVER... I personally would never accept a tool box that I had to fight with to get it to roll. Just my 02¢ Thanks again

@@juliantapia4074 ...Howdy, yes I did. I got rid of 3 older Craftsman boxes and here we are 2 yrs later and I'm still pleased with it. My pov is the 52 was the perfect size and tbh I still have 2 of the smaller drawers with nothing really in them. I did get rid of seriously old screw-drivers, pliers and just junk. The drawers still slide easily without any type of lube... Oh and as for the LED light bar, I basically never turn it off and it still works just fine. Well, thanks for asking and PS not much for posting videos but I will say that if it was garbage I would tell you when it's definitely not. If you have the credit for it apply for the Home Depot credit card and you'll get extra money off the cost. Holla back if you get one. God bless and enjoy life

I made the mistake of buying that sane toolbox. It does not matter what it looks like if the build quality is lacking. It would have taken me two seconds to realise how poor of quality the box has been made. Every drawer is mounted to the sildes with tiny rivots. Over time the rivots will bend and fail. The perforated box design are so much better. I had my tool box for about a year when i had all sorts of problems.
@KGsGarage
@KGsGarage 3 жыл бұрын
I haven't had any problems with it yet. I'm sure a matco or snapon box would be better quality but I thought it was pretty good for a home improvement store box.
