I'm laughing at some of the comments on this video (some of which I've deleted because they're just plain nasty)...I'm a drama queen apparently? Look, I find it funny that half of these type of comments are probably from people that have NEVER encountered a LARGE animal like a moose or horse like this. Trust me when I say...when you're being run down by a 1000 lb (or more) animal in this manner, you'd run too. Especially when it's coming after your children...one of which is not my biological child and I've been entrusted with his care. Ever heard of the term "F around and find out?" Well, Tina rather not find out. #FACTS Animals can be extremely dangerous especially when injured or hungry & neglected like this horse was. Annnnnyway...on to the comments that matter...thanks everyone for watching this week's video! The salmon chowder is a must try & don't forget you can substitute with Cod, Halibut, Pike...really whatever kind of fish you like! The wood shed's almost full...finally! If we're lucky, it'll last us through the winter, if not, we'll have to go out in snow shoes and sleds like last year to harvest more wood. It's a good workout though so I'm not complaining. Joe and I love it, that's why we chose this life. Loving life in Alaska. It's everything we hoped it would be. Cheers friends, see you on the next one!🤗

Y’all are so wonderful for giving Kellan a home that exemplifies family. I know it was a big adjustment to go from a family of 3 (at home) to a family of 4 but I can’t put into words the admiration I have for Parker to suddenly share his parents. I bet it is a joy for him to have a companion close to his age but to share his parents, space, toys etc just shows his upbringing ❤️

I never want your videos to end. The horse video was awesome and when Kellan said "I WENT IN THE HOUSE!!" I cracked up. It was interesting to see the colors that the boys chose for their birdhouses. What a thoughtful thing for your viewer to do. Your explanation of the time you spend with Joe was so loving and inspiring. You are a truly wonderful couple. Poor Rusty says "No privacy"! Have a wonderful week and we will look forward to the next visit with the Watsons. God Bless you all.

You and Joe remind me of my husband and I in that some of your "dates" are times spent working on a project. I truly believe we are happiest when we have a project to work on together - Chopping and splitting firewood, building our house, pour cement, hand digging our basement in our tiny cottage......We just enjoy working together. I guess we are doing something right we've been married nearly 46 years and still love being together. I wish you and Joe many, many years of working together and loving your boys so deeply. 🦋

Right now I'm in with my youngest Dr in her "delivery suite". We're waiting on a new Granddaughter to arrive. 🥰🥰🥰 We've been here 12 hours already and looks like we'll be here a fair piece longer, bless her heart. This is our miracle baby, though, so we know God's timing will be perfect, and He's still the Great Physician. 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻 Tomorrow is my birthday, so who knows, I might be getting the best birthday present ever. 🥰 I miss you guys and I'll watch just as soon as I can. Thread the lead rope inside the trailer, and through to the outside through the window. Exit the trailer and pull on the rope. The horse is pulled/ lead inside and the handier remains on the outside of the trailer. Beats getting inside with a spooked horse.

Joe was a hero for feeding & watering that horse; as a result, That horse knew that Joe was a friend. As for the kids, they have seen Joe’s confidence & his conduct. They will know that when they get bigger, they will handle things the way Joe did…. This was an EXCELLENT learn by example. Meanwhile, it was great watching Joe supervising the kids do their little bird building project. Also, seeing y’all working together at logging, is absolutely wonderful, I love the entire content of your video.

Great show y'all. The equine humor was a great touch. Just glad no one was hurt. I see the wood cutting never ends. Great job on the wood shed. Too bad you can't put the wood on rollers or another door, to fifo the wood. First in, First out. It's hard to tell on our end if that's all dead wood or some green. The thing is, you're always going to be cutting wood. Again, great work, Joe. I've always been an armchair quarterback, so keep it up. Don't mind my ramblings. Something tells me you're gonna have success on the hunting this year, too. Later, Watson family!

Good the horse can get a new start. Looks like it fended about three months with the hoof conditions. People turn out with cost over transport to rescue. With cooperation of female, I'd guess hormones might be reason he turned on you and possible the fear you felt. Birdhouse idea is perfect. The boys did a great job. Homesteading is stewardship of land and never ending. It's not for everyone which is nice for viewers to live vicariously through your deeds. 🌻

Well I would be running to LOL as fast as I could. Growing up I rode horses and enjoyed doing so very much. My dad was from Newfoundland so on holidays when we would go to Newfoundland to visit we rode horses. Never owned one. But I did learn to respect them. When a horse flattens back its ears its getting ready to charge at you. And they do bite. Any animal can sense your fear and it alerts them. Joe had no fear so it calmed the animal. But like you I would have run for cover. You had no idea if the horse was wild. And it was a good experience for the boys on large animals especially moose. They did wonderful. You all did.🇨🇦🍂🍁

Bah, don't let the people get to ya girl. You had me LMAO and I'm a 60 yr old man. That could've been a 1000+lb rabbit and I still would've been lmao. I have raised cattle myself and yes any animal of that size or even much smaller can be extremely dangerous to someone they don't know. Anyhow, thank you for all the tears I had to wipe away. Good hearty laughs. Your comments about Joe were so from the heart and it's so good to hear them spoken. Most of us think those thoughts but, to hear them actually said is so genuine and sweet. Joe is a great guy and who wouldn't want to hang out with him. He has a awesome sense of humor. Got a good laugh when he was filming you load the firewood into the ranger. Him jumping back and forth as you picked up the logs. Kind of a Howard Cosell moment with a play by play shot. Kellen and Parker's description of hiding from the horse had me laughing as well. Their really some outstanding young men with great futures ahead and looking forward to following their paths in life. I don't know too much about Alaska as far as how seasons come and go. I believe that winter seems to be the longest season and summer the shortest. I could be wrong but, either way having seasonal changes does the body and mind wonders. It keeps you on your toes. Always having to prepare for each one. All 4 of them require different preparations and we always seem to look forward to each although, there are some we don't from time to time. You keep doing you Watson Family. We love ya's and we love that you share it with us. Thank you!!! I'm not going to do it Joe. I had zero fear of this horse until he charged me & the kids. Never in a million years did I expect him to chase us down like that. I think he finally found a good source of food and was trying to protect it!

I know some people have put straw or hay down keeping that noise from happening from the trailer as they are loading them

Joe was hilarious about that horse. His personality really came out…peacocking around because the horse took to him. 😂 vlogging content just finds you! This was great!

I thinks it’s the first Saturday of every month (check with your local Home Depot), but they do kids day. Kids build a new project each time, get an apron and have a blast.

Wonderful horse, horse seem to be underfed, not much been trailer loaded, but young as well, my wife and kids, always had issues with my horse as well, if a horse had only 1 human in it's life, it's definitely harder to load it and catch it, unless it's hungry. I hope it goes back to it's owner, horses are like dogs. True and faithful.

That horse was definitely scary. I had an uncle who lost a leg after a horse stomped on him. I heard you talking about the moose. I saw a moose coffee cup at a thrift store recently and bought it in your honor! That’s as close as l want to get to one! Enjoy the rest of your week with your awesome family!

You guys should consider offering family Alaskan voyage exploration experiences- you host a weekend or weeklong package for a person, couple or group of x and offer various options- you could set up tours and offer special b and b packages or in nice weather have camp outs allowed or be creative
