Hi Dan, it’s nice to see your garden with all these fruit trees extra in my part of the uk. I’m in Ipswich. Makes me think I could grow some of these….if\when I get a place with a garden. Thanks for sharing 😊🙏

On first glance that fig tree looks like a Desert King variety. If it ripens green skin with red interior, you've got that
@homegardens76827 ай бұрын
It does look like that. A friend gave me the cutting a few years ago. I may contact him to see if he remembers lol.

The most handsomest and sexiest gardener in the UK i just love when the weather is warmer enough for Dan to do open shirt and shirtless work in the garden ❤🔥😊

I went into herbs last year, this year I also brought more echinacea plug plants, and calendula, along with lots of other herbs, managed to find myself a medicinal skullcap plant, I hunted a year for her. Lots of herbal medicine growing in my garden, and a lot more perennial veg. Garden looks well!!
@homegardens76827 ай бұрын
I may look into that one. Cheers.

I grow and use calendula in my skin and pain balm, so far it's healed people doctors couldn't.

I enjoy growing vegetables but the real joy I get is from the fruit. Coincidentally at the moment I'm trying to source the Mallings Centenary myself.

Nice video, you look very content in your semi wild garden. I second the recommendation for buying plants from supermarkets, the choice tends to be limited and availability is sporadic, but the prices are good and if the plant looks healthy go for it. I've had great plants from Sainsburys and Lidl over the years.

Am planning on buying another fruit tree to grow in a big tub and was/am considering Cherry or a Cherry Plum Tree, but I think after seeing your sunburst I think that clinches it for me!. 🌻🌎✌🏽

Love your garden! I live in a flat so don't have one. However, I've got a great allotment. My feverfew and chamomile has gone nuts this year. Sadly, I had a mole tunnel under my echanacia, so that's struggled a bit. The slugs have been a nightmare and my poor pole beans took a hit. They seem to be recovering. On the plus side my plum and three pear trees are looking better this year. I wonder if the sea of phacelia I spread round helped?🤔 Sure was an amazing sight and the bees went nuts!😊

Great video Dan! I was wondering if you ever noticed maroon spots on your blueberry bushes leaves, I recently bought one and the leaves had spots on it was wondering if it was a fungus infection

I was curious what time of the year you propagate your raspberries by moving the suckers with the roots? Last year I cut them loose when they were about 6 inches high with about a foot or two of roots. They did come back this year and are about two feet tall but no flowers which I half expected unlike the suckers I let be that are loaded with flowers now. The only reason I need to move them is because they are moving in on a group of rhubarb plants that would of course be harder to move without a setback. In North Dakota things grow very quickly with the long days, but we need to always be aware the ground can freeze as early as October.
@homegardens76827 ай бұрын
I would dig up suckers during the dormant season. We probably have more time here to do it as it doesn't freeze as often. Maybe early Winter before it freezes. As soon as they go dormant.
@homegardens76827 ай бұрын
You could also consider late Winter/early Spring. Just before things come into growth.

Not sure if those onions are Sturon because I also grow Sturon and it's a yellow onion not a red one. Red Baron perhaps?

Oops!! I got that wrong. It's a variety called Karmen. When I get back to my computer I will pin a note so people know the correct variety. Thanks for letting me know

Sadly it's the roots that have most of the medicinal benefits, great natural antibiotic.
