Thanks Dan. I know you are going to do a real review on this machine, but real quick question- can it wash a pair of jeans or two?
@HomeInTheSticks
@HomeInTheSticks 4 жыл бұрын
Thank ya for watching and commenting sir!! Yes sir, I have washed 2 pairs of work pants with no problems to speak of, however bleu jeans are a bit heavier than my work pants. I don't see where this machine couldn't wash 2 pairs of jeans but that would be the extent of wash, I might add a t-shirt or two and call that a load of clothes!! Hope that answers your question sir!! Dan

That's the kind of machines we had in the Philippines Mr. Dan. They worked good. It was a big upgrade for my Cathie and her mom that washed by hand their whole lives. I think Cathie would let her clothes soak awhile to listen up any dirt before she actually used the washer. It worked good for us. She still washes all her delicates by hand.

Hi Dan! Thanks for this great review. I have several questions: 1. You leave the faucet on the entire time? Do you turn it off once the machine is full of water? How does that work? 2. The instructions say no hot water? 3. How did you dry the clothes? I couldn’t find a drying video 🤔. Thanks again for this informative video!!

Hello Ayalah Adison, welcome to the channel and our community!! Let's see if I can answer your questions mam, (1) yes mam the water stays on the whole time, it works just like a full size washing machine except with this machine, I disconnect the water when I'm done washing clothes (2) yes mam, the instructions do state do not use hot water in this machine, for what reason I don't know, it may have to do with the internals of the machine not being able to withstand hot water but that's just my guess. I have seen videos of folks using warm water in this machine but I wash all my clothes in cold water (3) I have a Panda portable dyer that I use to dry my clothes, I have a video uploaded on that too!! I hope this answers your question, if ya have any more questions, fire away!! You have a good Wednesday!! Dan

I'm really quite surprised at how well made that machined is! I hadn't looked into them, but, always assumed they were rather ineffective. Well you've proved me wrong on that count! I am amazed that you can dry so many things at once in it! It's clearly well built! I'm grateful for the review. I'm an apartment dweller now and have laundry in suite here, but, I may move in the future and will need a dryer. The cost of the laundromats and or building laundry is really high and this machine could cut those costs considerably! Great review, Dan! Thank you so much! Wishing you all the best! 💚 PS I've finally posted a video again, if you'd like to pop by.

Mine started banging against the sides, so I think the belt needs to be replaced. I can't find any online. How do I figure out what brand/size will be suitable as a replacement? I live in canada, and sending this thing to a Black & decker service station will cost a fortune!
@HomeInTheSticks
@HomeInTheSticks Жыл бұрын
Thank ya for watching and commenting Ahousewifeforlife, welcome to our community and the channel!! Banging against the sides, that would leave me to believe that the clothes are uneven during a spin cycle, meaning the clothes are piled up on one side of the drum while the spin cycle starts hence the banging noise. I'd check that before buying another belt!! Dan

@HomeInTheSticks Yes, that is the light that is flashing. I did a lot of searching and apparently it is supposed to flash? Machine seems to be working fine though! I purchased this machine less then a year ago -- it is now leaking from the inlet washer hose (I've been waiting for the replacement for 6 months) I want to share my experience with B&D and the hose that is very thin to the point it has holes worn into it from the vibration of the machine during the spin cycle. I contacted B&D and was told it would take 3 month to get the replacement (first contact) I waited while patching the hose and then called again (second contact) and was told it would be awhile maybe 6 more months, they were behind. My reply was maybe they should make a better product that lasted -- I purchased this with a 1 year warranty and 6 months has gone by and they are telling me that another 6 months before I get a replacement part -- I can't get a part that is important to the use of the machine!!!! -- you are telling people to buy this and use it -- yes it works well when you can use it but if you can't get it fixed --- DO NOT PURCHASE

@HomeInTheSticks
@HomeInTheSticks 2 жыл бұрын
Hey Mr Robert, thank ya for watching and commenting sir!! Yes sir, the cold water has to stay on the entire time the washer is in use, as far as a high water bill, no sir, the washer uses water as needed during a wash cycle. Water is NOT constantly running even tho the water is left on if that makes sense. I've been using this washer regularly for over a year and I have not noticed a rise in my water bill as of yet. I hope this answers your question!! Have a good Wednesday evening!! Dan

I have this and keep having different experiences thruout that past year using it in my bathroom/sink faucet Aged plumbing makes it a task but still worth it - HOWEVER my shine is wavering haha.. due to old plumbing no I keep a bucket underneath to catch any leakage since the pressure when water is on sometimes blows off the faucet or waterfalls below / other times it stays secure then is dry underneath also - just a variety of experience with this little guy and I’m trying to figure out the manual water fill options .. do you have any opinions or experience with that? I’ve watched other videos with this machine and someone said you can but moved on and didn’t get into it too much since it wasn’t how they specifically were using it but mentioned see the manual .. I’m not seeing anything bout manual water feeding this - especially since it’s paused when open making for a sensor maybe also paused? I read too there’s a particular pressure of water required -hence why I’m guessing a shower head type pressure of water was suggested I don’t I’m kinda lost on what to do Thought it wouldn’t hurt to spit ball bout it to ya subd to your channel - like 👍🏼 your vids
@HomeInTheSticks

Hello Razberuru, welcome to our community and the channel mam!! Wow, seems like you're having a time with this washer lol!! I can tell ya typical household water pressure is somewhere between 40-80 psi. The water supply line blowing off your faucet is interesting but a leakage would mean that your adapter is not screwed on tight enough, just my opinion. As far as manually adding water to the machine, my thinking is that the washer does have sensors around the drum, if the machine thinks it needs more water, it adds it. I've had several folks ask me to do a video on manually adding water to my washer but I'm quite sure my machine would give me error codes as I don't know how much water to add honestly. As far as water pressure, 60 psi would be optimal in my opinion!! Don't know if I've helped ya any concerning your questions but I hope ya get that washer working for ya!! I thank ya for watching and commenting, have a good Thursday evening!! Dan

My machine is washing now. So far, so good on the first try. The faucet leaked in my bathroom, but it doesn't leak in my kitchen. My kitchen faucet is just like yours. My bathroom faucet is old, so that may be why it doesn't work. I am reading the manual and it says: 1) Run a rapid cycle with some bleach once a month to clean the tub and to remove any mold. 2) Clean the lint filter about every 10 wash cycles. Just take it out and rinse with water. 3) Clean the pump filter once a month. (It is on the back of the washer.) Just clean with water.

If I had to guess, it may be a hose that has come loose possibly. I'd give B+D customer service a call and inquire about that as well. Thank ya for watching and commenting sir, have a good weekend!! Dan

Hi Dan, I enjoyed your video review. I got my Black and Decker washing machine today and I love it. The only 8ssue that I have is the draining at the base, there is a know in the back at the bottom of the machine that has water in it and I don't know how I'm going to get the water out without making a mess. Do you have any suggestions? I just ordered a Stalwart rolling cart.

Hello Mrs Louise, welcome to our community and the channel mam!! Awesome, glad you're liking your B+D washing machine, I certainly love mine!! Concerning the secondary filter on the back and bottom of the machine, I have the capability to roll my machine outside to clean that filter. If you can't do that, I'd use a bath towel and place it under the machine to catch the water that comes out that filter. If I'm not mistaken, per the owner's manual, that filter should be cleaned monthly OR regularly if one washes items that may contain pet hair or the like. I checked mine after about 10 washes and that filter was clean as a whistle!! I hope this answers your question mam!! Thank ya for watching and commenting, have a great Wednesday!!! Dan

Hello Mrs.Miller, welcome to our community and the channel mam!! As far as how much water the machine holds on each load setting, that's something that I don't know nor is that stipulated in the owners manual. I did the math on how many gallons 0.9 cubic foot is and that comes out to roughly 6.7 gallons of water that the machine should hold. I hope this helps ya out some mam, I thank ya for watching, you have a good Tuesday!! Dan

Does this have to be connected with a hose to work or can you just pour water in yourself?

Hello Mr Eric, welcome to our community and the channel sir!! The washing machine is designed to have a water source hooked to it but I think adding water manually wouldn't be a problem!! Thank ya for watching and commenting, have a good weekend!! Dan

Thank ya for watching and commenting Cary Theus, welcome to the channel and our community!! I always was all my clothes in cold water BUT I did try using warm water in my washer with no problems although it's not advised by the manufacture. I think there are some seals in the drum that don't react well with warm/hot water. Hope this may help ya out!! Dan
