Because there was no point lying or being fake. Homelander can tell when someone is lying by listening to their heartbeat. She knew she was dead from the start so she didn't even bother.

I'm surprised he didn't call her out on how the "they were scared" excuse makes zero sense. Maybe if she had said they were more scared of Vought than they were of him, but being scared of Homelander seems like a pretty good reason to go out of your way to be nice to him. If I'm scared of a dangerous animal, the last thing I want to do is piss it off.
@Nisselak4 күн бұрын
What do humans do with dangerous animals that they are afraid of? They put them in a cage. And that's what they did here with him.
@chrisfromsouthaus27354 күн бұрын
@Nisselak Difference is that a cage will usually prevent an animal from getting to you if you tick it off, even if it wants to kill you. She says in this video that there was nothing physically preventing him. This was more like keeping a pet tiger in your home. If you're genuinely afraid, if you genuinely think that tiger could maul you at any time, you don't go and yank on its tail.

I kind of feel sorry for the new people working there, that had nothing to do with homelander. That must really suck…
@queterian1526Күн бұрын
Homelander asks why no one stand up to Vough, it's because there were multiple selection protocols for hiring staff. People who could, who had a potential to compromise their work, just wouldn't get hired, that's all.

Well, now it is done. Part of Homelander, no matter how small, WANTS to be truly loved and it does give him some small touch of humanity. But after this, whenever he hears that voice in his head, he will see it ONLY as the attempt of his inferiors to control him. He will then try to destroy it by going as far as he possibly can in the opposite direction.

If Barbara knew Homelander was trying to be good and could've broken out of the laboratory, why did she let him suffer? If it's about the 3 deceased doctors and a nurse, who are probably her family, then it's kinda understandable.

We don't think Homelander's the hero. We just see that he has been abused far more than anyone he works with. He had nothing, everything blew up in his face, he was purposefully raised to have affirmation issues, and he still managed to claw his way to the top.
