As easy as a basket…true, but I now have many FULL baskets of clutter all around my main floor…the next step is finding a more permanent home for the stuff or just getting rid of it, which is the hardest part.

I have the same problem. Eventually I’ve become really good at organising clutter… but it’s still clutter 😅

This is might not the best example for a short video but she does have longer videos for decluttering and organizing that might help. She's not saying shove everything in a basket and now that's considered a home for it. Items should still be organized by category. Labels help some people. Decluttering when the space is full helps a lot too

@@megacoraltree576 oh I’ve known her channel for a while and I agree with u - I just personally really struggle with this concept and with decluttering in general.

@@MeeshT same here! I watch a few different channels and try to learn everything I can even if I know just parts are going to work for me. A Hoarders Heart has been good for me on understanding the need to hold on to things and then processing letting go. I love Cas and her organizing styles have helped for how to set up functional spaces after decluttering or if you don't have a lot of stuff (not me lol) Best of luck on this struggle bus! Totally not easy for me to create homes for homeless clutter and when I do find a home I can never remember what I did with it or I forget it exists until I find it again

You need to check out Dana K White. Her big philosophy is to ask "where would I look for this first? " and put it there! Works well.

Homeless clutter is my biggest problem. It’s the clutter easiest to ignore and shove in a box or basket out of sight. Why can’t I just toss it??

Hahaha I have clutter in the first place because I have kids. They are the source of all my clutter 🤣

My problem was that I'd find future uses for everything and end up with boxes of odds and ends. Drove me nuts! Now, there's an anxious satisfaction of simply and quickly donating them. Kaput & hoarder no more. Now I just stop myself with thinking about where I'll put it before I buy it.

I found that to be helpful. Where is the dirty laundry being dropped? Put a hamper there. Like the place or not, it looks better in a hamper.

my partner drops the dirty clothes 10 cm in front of the hamper 😂

@Queen of the North They all do. The stink eye or put the dirty clothes on their side of the bed. Ask them to put them in the hamper or they will accidentally land on the bed again.

My kids art work - well, I have a file cabinet full of it, per grade. I really think I have to just take a picture of it all and trash it. But, I don’t think I can do that!
