What's truly touching is that these wonderful people don't have much of anything, but they're so honest with you when you give them food, if they already have something, they tell you they don't need it. They're caring people and they tell you so that you can give the items to another houseless person. Nothing selfish about the majority of these people. We can learn lessons from them.

Look. This is how it goes down. They deny the food because the dope they're on crushes any appetite to eat. #2. The sell anything of value (tents, shoes, clothes, etc..) to get their next bag of dope. They all use the great reason of "I don't want to be greedy" when really food isn't something they can sell. I appreciate the way you believe in happy endings but in reality you would get eaten alive trusting what people say on the street. It's a very cruel world, obviously more cruel than what you're aware of.

@@Rccrdawgs I’ve seen many off leash dogs with homeless people. They still stick by their side. Never said it was a life of luxury, but they definitely love them and do everything they can to care for them properly. Also as a rebuttal to the 100 degree heat many dogs have booties or get pushed around in carriages or baby strollers, but also many people here in Tucson still walk their dogs in the 100 degree heat all over the pavement with no booties so I guess it’s not all that bad.

It is what pets do, they give you love unconditionally, it is all up to their owners to return if not the same amount of love, at least some considerable bits of it though. Please pass on to your friends with pets that when it gets really hot they can help by getting some cloth wet and using it on the pets chest. It's pretty much the closest major blood vessels come to the skin so helping to cool that area down really helps, If the pet can lay on the wet cloth is helpful too.

These homeless people know through word of mouth that Michael will help them in any way he can. There is NOTHING fake about what he is doing. He gets donations from companies and I’m sure he spends a lot of his own money to help these people. I have given to his ministry and plan on giving again. I trust that he’s using the donations to help the needy. I live my life in promoting kindness because it matters. Thank you! Women need hygiene and feminine products. It's hard being a homeless woman on many levels. 3 years homeless, once in AZ. Hot dessert is hell. Melted sneakers on downtown sidewalks at 120 degrees! Like sticky bubblegum. I used to wash up in diner bathrooms after i boight coffee till they figured it out. Told me to get lost! I will never forget the shunning like I was an animal. I was clean and polite. It's a humiliating experience all do to high cost of housing. In better shape now thru hard work and supportive services. Good works!! Thanks

The guy with the kitty seems like a nice guy. He has to be to have the kitty. Thing is though, I noticed the cat had no food or water. She will die if he doesn't feed and give water. Michael, would you please, help by telling him kitty needs a bowl of water she can get to at all times? Cats are different from dogs. They have much less tolerance for heat than dogs do. When a cat pants, they're in really bad shape. The guy seemed out of it and may not even realize.

They need help to stay alive until they make that decision to live for themselves. Its like when you are in their position, you may feel indifferent to being not alive. I live and travel on this road every single day, I truly hope to meet you some day. I'd love to help, personally i've been trying to find a way to make time to go and clean the sides of river rd. its sad to see how much trash is around the city. You give me a lot of inspiration.
