Can we just quit judging on who deserves help and who doesn't yet ? We cannot even go there if we truly want to help the homeless, there can't be classifications or divisions in homelessness. It affects all people and nobody gets to the head of the line to eat first just because that individual is better or entitled. This whole thing is fast becoming a national crisis.....

recycled365 I'm not sure who you are responding to in your comment. I didn't read any judgement comments in this thread. Everyone homeless needs assistance, no matter what the situation. Comments specific to the interview for the video presented are normal. I was homeless (4 months in a shelter) due to domestic violence, and I definitely do not judge who deserves help. My hope in God brought me through, and I'm a stronger, more empathetic person because of it. I might've missed the comment you were referring to, but wanted to say I agree that all deserve help.

I was homeless for 8 years here in the streets of Orange County. I found a place called The Orange County Rescue Mission and I am now working a full time job, I'm clean and sober and I'm saving my money. It's a minimum of a 2 year program, you can stay longer if you want to. I'm working and saving my money. I have a relationship with my Lord and savior Jesus Christ now. I'm doing well.. there are places that care. People act like there are no resources...but there are.

My heart goes out to all these people. Everyone was somebody's precious baby once. We all still are God's precious children. More social housing is desperately needed. Low rise buildings with small apartments, bachelor apartments, with balconies. A place of their own, running water and electricity. A kitchen with fridge, stove, and cupboards. A proper washroom with the essentials, A room to live in, a bed or couch to sleep on .The basics. Everyone needs that. A mailbox and an address. Dignity.

" if you had three wishes ?" Guy gets a little confused, answers, " I don't really know", then as he thinks, becomes emotional. Because he can't even allow himself the luxury of a small dream of a decent existence. Goes to show, what a great country the USA is. Now, when I hear the bs about making America great, I think of the treadmill working people have run on, ever fearful of some bad luck that could wipe out their finances.

Who told you that BS? How about the fact that there are cities who give their own homeless people a one way bus ticket to where they want to go? That's what drives homelessness up in places like SoCal and NOT that people who care about the homeless giving them something to eat! You need to maybe go out and talk to the people who are homeless and how they became homeless because your statement shows you don't know crap about why people are homeless. Since when does feeding a person turn more people homeless? Dan You better pray and keep your fingers crossed that YOU won't end up homeless! You won't have a safe place to keep your bong then!
@dankadybong7948
@dankadybong7948 7 жыл бұрын
Toni Priore . i dont think youre objective in your opinions. its a fact that the homeless have to get their food from food stamps, welfare or others so feeding them enables them to be homeless in that locality. and that encourages more homeless to go to where they are enabled. thus the amount of homeless in that locality can grow. i get that u care about the situation but dont take your frustration on me, buddy. Im not saying whether homelesness is right or wrong or sad but this enabling part is exactly like i say it is. u dont see many homeless where theyre not enabled somehow by scavenging, stealing or charity, donations etc. u misunderstand on purpose.

This is horrible, life in the streets is not acceptable. Joseph has a friend in a wheelchair... doesn't this constitute a disability? I understand that there are homeless people who are out there because of addiction which is still hard to see but people like Joseph who had a job, was injured and a lot of times it goes downhill from there. In his case he lost everything he owned. They turn the other cheek when homeless need help. The ones who are willing to work or the ones who are truly are disabled Give these people a chance! Help them get back on their feet. There has to be an answer to this problem.

Ah, the old "the government should" argument. It's easier to afford a place to live if you can stay clean & sober and can hold down a job in order to earn a living. The other problem with "giving" people a place to live is they have no vested interest in it. They will trash the place in no time. Ever seen the projects on the east coast? There are plenty of more affordable places to live than Orange County, CA

Well, what is incomprehensible is that California is or wants to be a sanctuary state! Sanctuary would be for whom?? As long as there is ONE homeless US citizen or US permanent resident, no city, state, or county should be allowed to be declared as a 'sanctuary'. This is a crying shame. Most likely this man, who looks and sounds like he has really tried to avoid homelessness, has better things to do than what I will now propose, but it is just an idea--Maybe the US homeless in Anaheim should cross the border into Mexico, legally or otherwise, and ask for sanctuary there. What would be ironic is, if they would actually get sanctuary there, and a place to live.

Why doesn't the city give or loan the homeless who are not doing drugs and are not crzy - vehicles to stay in? For families, they should get vans. The government can allocate them some gas each week... pay for their insurance... and fix their cars for free as well. Making buildings for them will just deteriorate into slums after a while.... This is not a solution. Plus they are very expensive. - I've been suggesting this for years.. but the government has not gotten the hint. Maybe they just like to keep their homeless in their cities... and in actuality, they don't really want to give them tools to help at all? Dunno..... Seems that way.

So sad. It's ridiculous how difficult it is for people to get a leg up. Good people. People like this man. It makes me sick. I hope he's able to get out of there soon.

A few years ago I drew up plans to build huge outdoor stone temples spanning 6 square blocks.A place that supplies water, showers and primitive toilets,wash boards,and minor medical care. The kind of temples they built in the biblical age,where weary travelers could rest for days even months on end.I think living in a bonafide temple of grander can manifest and create a peaceful law abiding existence and a new respect for the homeless life and their surroundings. It's safer for them and a beautiful way to coexist with the ever growing homeless population.

On another "homeless" channel they say that anyone that presents themselves as homeless in LA immediately is put on welfare of $225 approx. per mo. and $210 approx. food stamps but they usually sell all of that for drugs. I'm assuming this man gets this and so does his friend. That's almost $1000 per month if they buddied up like he says. Why don't they save up their money and buy a cargo van for both to live in and be sheltered and move somewhere else and he could find work? That would be my first priority to get out of that area and find work, any work.

ya id like to see how far youd get if you were in his situation, you do realize we are all tax slaves to the quadrillionaires right? Everyone works in this society to better the lives of the corrupt elite, this person is just a tax slave who has had a harder existence than your slavery, and your comment implies you believe everyone has equal opportunity in this country. Please learn more about life man.

must be fun making dens to live in though, i'd use old doors from skips from builders to build a shed, use washing machines to build a spaaceshitp travel back in time and win the lottery. and help others. supermarkets are crazy to keep food for money and just bin, thought we had enough food for everyone.

Everyone sympathizes with the homeless- until they set up a camp in their neighbourhood. Central banking destroyed the $ (4.6C today), and outsourcing destroyed work.
