That would depend entirely on what “prison” or “jail” you’re talking about. I listen to a few ex-convicts KZbin channels and I’ve heard many times of stories of dudes coming in with no addiction problems and ending up hooked inside. And then that leads to a whole bunch of new issues that arise which you can probably imagine…

@@LuxuryBeatsMusic I’m referencing county jail. I have had several patients from prison who shared similar stories. They have to want to change. I’m sure the constant negativity of prison makes one susceptible to wanting to escape the daily insanity of life in prison, so I’m sure you’re so right

I dunno about that. Sure you’ll get cleaned up for however long you’re in jail for but true sobriety comes from within because you’ll be released again and that temptation will still be there which is why so many people are in and out of jail. To truly be sober u have to be over it and done using, jail or no jail you have to have a sober mindset

I’ve been homeless for over a year, and the best thing that I’ve learned is to try and exude a calm and confident energy at all times, or else people will walk all over you and you’ll keep getting taken advantage of. I’m not a big guy, but I deter bigger dudes from starting crap just by being confident, because at the end of the day they’re only confident because they’re are big, don’t act scared and their confidence will shrink because they know you’re not intimidated. This time I gotta pop camper I picked up for free, and I’ve completed remodeled it. It’s even got a tiny work station, where I can do my art. And I made a little wood stove to stay warm. Been there with burnt up opiate receptors and all. Used to suck to have to spend $100-$150 a day just to get well and function as a normal person.well as normal as one can be caught up in that nightmare. Imagine having to live like that.... that's not getting high just well. I got where I couldn't hardly get high anymore because of how addiction and dependency works on the brain after years of using. I was a smoker so i was lucky not to end up with diseases from iv use. After 25+ years i have now been sober for 4 years almost. All i do is smoke cannabis for medicinal reasons not to get addicted to opiates again and to help with my anxiety and depression. Smoking weed is about to stop as well now after having a major car accident and being told after a ct scan of shoulder that i now have a lung tumor that is probably some type of malignant carcinoma they found i didn't know i had. All my battles and finally getting clean and working etc. just to be issued a death sentence most likely.

Bro I was up to $250-$260 every 2ish days at one point once everything turned to fetty. That stuff is fiendish and doesn't barely keep you well for more than a few hours. With some of it I'd have to redose every other hour as withdrawals would start creeping in. Even my plug at one point was starting to get worried about me. He was like you're going to end up dead or losing everything you got if you keep this up. Which I did end up losing it all, car repo'd (that I Was basically living in) lost my job and everything. Gladly I'm 2.5 years off of fent/H/pills now. I hope you get that tumor sorted out, praying for you man! Hang in there and keep your head up!

The only homeless I been was living in my car for about 6 months, nothing like living on the actual streets but there is no comparison to make since when you're homeless you still have your freedom and nobody could take that away like in prison. Prison also seems a lot easier to get attacked if you don't buy into the institutionalized mindset. Being homeless you have it a bit easier to get back on your feet rather than prison too because if you go to jail then you're accused of a crime and it'll be a lot harder to get a job or get an apartment

You are not alone. I will pray for your situation to change and for your own endurance. My choice is homeless or remain in an abusive home as a mother who's children are grown. I am young for having children, but older for learning the ropes of the streets. It's veey convoluted and before anyone asks, no shelters aren't an opinion they're trafficking factories. Put it this way, every institution in America foes the opposite of what they say; you go to hospitals to die, shelters from a use to be abused and exploited. It's all about who greases who's palm with a lot of money.

nothing like living on the actual streets? That's ridiculous and a huge overstatement. Its à bit better than being homeless for sure, but its quite comparable, as you still have to find a peaceful space to park your car in order to sleep. Use a toilet, then à bathroom depending on the public facilities, not being able to store food or water convebiently due not having enough space in your car to store much... plus it will still be as expensive as having to pay for rent almost with insurance and gas. Of course its more confortable and you are able to do à lot more... but your car can still breakdown and have an accident... Yeah you are right, 6 months is nowhere near enough if you think it was too easy, you've obviously havent experienced true struggle... otherwise you wouldnt say its "nothing " compared To actually be homeless on the streets.. because the reality is that it's really not that far off, plus you always have many chances of actually ending up on the streets. The car is a méthod of transport at best, not everybody has big cars or a van.

Not true if you've never been there and done that you can't run your mouth okay if you don't have a host of friends from different walks of life that might have had to be homeless for a minute for various reasons then you cannot run your mouth stop spreading falsehoods because you don't know what you're talking about sweetheart I've been around six decades and I've seen all different types of walks of life and different things in terms of homelessness I've even done it myself and believe me I'd rather be homeless and free then somebody dictate to me and locking me down like I'm an animal I'm not a coward that I'm a woman the men of the day of Chumps and their cowards there's nothing like my great-grandparents and my grandfather and my father we're real men you men today are chumps I got to shake my head you all don't even know how to survive Electronics got your brains now

Again that's your choice not mine I don't need a structured environment I make my own environment so I don't need nothing free I can get my own stuff I've never had a problem getting my own things so freedom's better I'd rather have a log cabin and a fishing rod and a oil lamp like Tom Sawyer or a teepee like the native americans than to be stuck in some jail God provides for me thank you very much☺️✌️💯😎

Depends what time of year and climate. Also depends on what jail. Still even then i think i prefer to take my chances freezing. I don't care much for the stupid drama b.s. and noisy stinky imates. Not much sleep going on. Plus thieves and disease and drunkards etc...

@@stringbender3there's nothing negative about him wanting to be at peace into itself I get in my car and drive off to the park where I live and I stayed there for a week sometime to myself to look at the trees to commune with nature and to be at peace but that's something you dummies don't know how to do and I'm a woman able to do that and I'm content and I camp out and I have fun with nature maybe you should try that sometime instead of passing judgment or something you don't know about
