Is there such a thing as low cost affordable housing? So exactly who receives the $350 million? Gimme a break that's like filling a canyon with a grain of sand one grain at a time.

Well the econy is fantastic for the *rich*. They did not specify that it would include the rest 99% of the population. The american dream is to have the "freedom" to starve and freeze to death like a true ´murican. Basic human rights costs extra and are not included in the package.

Get them to Detroit with a tool belt! There's plenty of vacant, "affordable " properties.

Things would be different if our congress had to worry about not having enough money to purchase food or pay rent.

If you're a westerner, USA is the first world. If you were in the USSR, USA was the second world. Anyone who was outside the West and USSR worlds is a 3rd world country, AKA "neutral" but they are fighting civil wars to serve the West and USSR influences.

They could have all these Apartments in DC Offer certain percentage to low income people. Arlington Does it. It eliminate ghettos and Projects and gives everyone the dignity of getting back on their feet. they could change the code restrictions and allow for tiny homes to be built, They don't have do do it all over just designate a few location. I know for fact the Government has Abandoned Property over on Alabama Ave in SE that would be perfect for a project like this. and their are people chomping at the bit to make Micro housing legal. there are tons of empty lots in DC that could easily fit 10 or 15 Micro lots, Unfortunately, big money developers come in by up the land and build 500K efficiency apartments. All throughout formally low income neighborhoods. The call it "revitalization" It's always code for kick out the poor people. They will never make the right decisions to help people because in a 100% Capitalistic Society Money Rules. We could do better as a country for the all the citizens in it, if we weren't so damn greedy. John Stewart said it best, "Poor people have Shitty Lobbyist"
