For homelessness, we don't need to give out a bunch of money to homeless people. We need to increase the supply of homes. It's a supply side problem not a demand side. Government gals and guys need to stop taxing the inputs into home construction, the payroll, the lumber, the copper and all that other stuff that goes into making a home. We need tax relief and yes we need to do something about preventing drug addiction

Homelessness and emotional difficulties often go hand in hand; we need to address both. Yes, these folks need shelter, but they also need emotional support - a sense of belonging - as in a commune of some sort. The model of a refugee camp sounds horrible, but it could do until we find something more suitable and permanent.
