I love your pine cone swag.❤️ While we were hiking two years ago, we came across an Oak tree that was dropping hundreds of acorns. I baked them to ensure they did harbour and bugs. Then I drilled tiny holes in all the acorns and strung them with alternating little wooden beads. This past autumn, I found the tree was willing to give up acorns again, so I painstakingly made some more garlands. 😂I think the most painful part of this DIY was drilling them. I am new to power tools so my husband set me up with the right size drill bit and left the workshop saying I was crazy. he is used to my little silly projects because we have been married 42 years.😂😂❤️

Simple and elegant can really make a statement. Sometimes if there is too much decor you can’t focus on anything. I also use brown transferware in the fall! I bring out red at Christmas time.

What a wonderful way to welcome autumn...The swag is perfect and the copper an excellent choice for enhancing the pinecones along with the velvet bows. I had to smile when you recommended to remove the hot glue strings as you go ...that was a good idea....the brown transferware and Spode plates are such a nice touch...I also use a special china for fall. My pattern is Spode Cowslip.... You have inspired me once again polish my copper.... The mantle in your living foom ia nice with the swapped out painting....and how special to have a mantle clock from your father....a very nice look....Happy Autumn to you...All the best...Melanie Fay

I have that same set up above my sink, I've never checked to see if I can put a plate up there!!! Love the swag! I usually have a small curtain in that window that I change out (made them from old table cloths). But i may do this swag for fall. Thank you!!!

The garland really came out beautifully. I can even imagine some red berries glued on it for Christmas. I don’t usually change much of my “permanent “ decorations for the different seasons. Christmas is the only holiday that’s has more decorating than usual. Enjoyed the video so much and I did like the changes. ~ Janet 😘

I tried to scale back my decore. I've been donating excess. I was not into it this year as I usually am. I did do some I just wanted it to be more simple. I'm in process of cleaning out. I used to think everything had to be amazing, magazine worthy and I'm like why?? I am tired of pulling out changing for a few months to do it again at Christmas. Yours looks pretty. I agree more time doing the things instead of working myself to death changing out every inch of the house for the season. I even prefer cutting branches from trees than using the stems.

Beautiful!!! How about a small white pumpkin with the candle and other pumpkin...a set of 3 items on each end to blend with picture and still be natural. Love the colors!

Hello Miss Rachel 💐 I live your pine cone garland. Is that a new large artwork behind the lamp and pumpkins on tray ? It's beautiful. I love spode woodland. Autumn is my favourite season. It's spring here in Australia. Still cold for me as I'm in an alpine region. I've been busy creating a silver birch woodland style garden around my new home. I've just purchased the paint to do the loungeroom hallway and kitchen. Bit scared as it's very green. I'm scared of colour 😅 time to be brave!!. Spring Green by Dulux. Very nice swag! I've wanted to use a hot glue gun for DIYs but I seem to have bad luck using glue. How hard is it to remove from your fingers? Hands? Counter? Hair?

Hot glue will burn ypur fingers and cause a significant blister so make sure you're using a finger guard. You can remove from items using heat, from a hair dryer, but try not to get in your hair.
