I love your video! As a soapmaker, I recommend adding your essential oils to the slightly warm plant oils BEFORE adding the lye so it has time to fully incorporate throughout the entire batch! For regular body soap, I recommend mixing the essential oils with clay (2 TBSP per pound) at least 10 minutes before adding to the oils. This will help anchor and retain the scent! :)

I loved your recipe. Since I was running out of dish soap and didn't feel like ordering via Instacart or heading to the store (and I already make my body soap bars, shampoo bars and facial bars), this seemed like no brainer. However, instead of using CP process I used HP and added an orange essential oil once the soap cooled to perfect temp. Then I stirred it well and poured into my silicone muffin pans (perfect size bar). I let them sit for 12 hrs, unmolded and let them rest for additional week. Well, all but 1 since saponification was done. I am in awe. It washed my non dishwasher and stainless steel pots and pans so good. Never going back to store bought junk. Thank you for an awesome recipe.

I've made a similar dish soap and it's great. I scented it with lemon essential oil and powdered lemon zest, and I added some sodium citrate (to improve the lathering in hard water). I also infused my oils with annatto seeds to make the bars yellow (to match the lemon scent).
