I did half water/milk in the original mixing stage, and then added fresh diced jalapeños and cheddar to mine after the first 30min proofing. Then let it proof for 45mins, preheated oven and baked for 30 mins. Turned out great 👍

Great video, to the point. I’m going to pick up my grill today. This helps in the summer being a home bread baker. One suggestion, score the loaf before it goes in the oven, not before proofing. I’ve made burger buns in my air fryer. Nicely done.

Thank you so much for that. I am going to try that this week :)

@@NightTimeMommyReviews I’m back and I baked a loaf of sourdough in the grill. I did a one pound loaf. I have a 2 qt cast iron pan, fits in the bottom grill pan. Baked for 20 minutes . This was a sourdough olive rosemary loaf. The no knead dough is mixed the night before, proofs on the counter overnight, shaped, proofed and baked next morning.

That kneading is a workout girlfriend! I don’t think my arms would hold out so I’ll have to use my stand mixer 😄 Looks so yummy I can almost smell it 😋 Great tip about using the dehydrate function as a proofing box!! Thank you for sharing❤️

It sure was, haha. I did it for the video to show it was possible, but I certainly use my stand mixer every week for it haha. Thank you for watching :)

Night Time Mommy Reviews Lol!!! I think it’s admirable that you punished your hands and arms to show people how they can make bread if they don’t have a stand mixer, kudos👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Thanks, I will have to try this. I don't have a stand mixer. My late mom had a great recipe for yeast rolls. Wondering if the proofing process would work?
@NightTimeMommyReviews4 жыл бұрын
@@MzK56 Yes! The proofing process would work :) Yeast loves 105* temperature, so it will rise too :)

Thanks for the tips. Got my new ninja heating up now. Trying beer bread. Mix and bake, no proofing. I’m gonna add sesame seeds on top tho not mentioned in recipe. I love sesame. And love toasting it with coffee. Let u know how it does. Texas here. New sub

Ok watching Texans an ninja preheating. Bread ready to drop in on parchment paper. I like crunchy crust so did not oil dough. I want to see sourdough bread made. Also savory bread with garlic. So much cheaper to make and fun. My friends think I’m a wizzz, well no, I’m not. But it impresses for sure. Ahhhh hot buttered bread soon. Thank u

Sourdough bread doesnt seem to be my friend right now. I am still working on this recipe, however i will most definitely look into a garlic bread :) Thanks for stopping by :)

Is it possible to make the dough in the evening and bake in the morning? Will it be okay to do that also

I just gave repeating your success with this recipe a second attempt last night. I used a different mixer, and that made a ball successfully. I was very hopeful. I timed my kneading with my phone! The finished project was an improvement over flattened #1, but it didn't rise as much as yours by the end of proofing. It didn't hold its shape well when I placed it back in the grill for baking, and it didn't brown as nicely as yours when it was finished. Do you think I should focus on kneading in more flour? It tasted OK, and it's just about all eaten already! The air bubbles inside were few and smaller. I think the process is great in that it saves so much time, but I'd like to think greater success is possible for me and that I can use this process for many other bread recipes. Any additional help will be appreciated.

I see from your other video you have the XL too. Have you tried to bake in that one? I know it’s much less deep so this style bread would be impossible but curious about other styles, baguettes, biscuits, small cakes etc. The price is exactly the same on BBB right now, which would you choose overall if the price was exactly the same. Thanks.

Studied your video and tried it in the Foodi Grill. What I learned is that you can't use a Kitchen Aid food processor to make this bread. I measured ingredients as if I were in a chemistry lab and used a fever thermometer to get the water for yeast right. I ran the food processor for a long time at low speed, but the mixture remained pudding like! I then let it sit hoping it would thicken. It did a bit. I emptied it onto my floured granite top table and added at least another cup or more of flour kneading the heck out it so that it finally wasn't too sticky and would limp back up part way if I pushed a finger into it. It didn't rise much at all when did the dehydration cycle, and I baked it anyway. It came out looking like it had been flattened with a large cast-iron skillet! It tasted pretty good though. Was I wrong to use a food processor to blend the ingredients? I do have the Ninja version of food processor/blender with the two bowls and the plastic blades for the smaller bowl, Might that have worked better? I don't have the room or the money for the industrial strength "Mix Masters" that are out there. Is the only other choice to stir and mix by hand?
@NightTimeMommyReviews4 жыл бұрын
May I ask, did you happen to use instant yeast or active yeast? The dough will rise as a result of the yeast being activated, and it may be that the yeast didn't activate. When activating the yeast did you have sugar in the bowl to help it activate as it eats the sugar? It should give you a frothy texture once its activated.
@sy_trilogy66554 жыл бұрын
@@NightTimeMommyReviews I used Fleischmann's RapidRise Instant Yeast. I had the 105 Degree water in a clear custard dish with the sugar as you did, and I used a fork to stir the yeast into the water. It did bubble up a bit and looked like yours before I poured it into the Kitchen Aid food processor. I took a picture of the finished product and sent it to my sister because I knew it would make her laugh. Seems I can't insert it here. I have seen other bread recipes that mention food processor, but we just bought the Foodi Grill and wanted to use it for something other than meat! Any suggestions about the bread are most welcome. Thanks for your response.

M Comparone Hi, I’m a home bread baker and will be trying this in the Ninja Foodi. You mentioned using a food processor. The problem with that is the blade gets hot, therefore killing the yeast. I ran across this a few years back. I now make no knead dough, use a bread machine or mixer for dough. No machines, check out no knead doughs. I make burger buns using no knead dough in my air fryer.
