Do you know the best way to change the world? Love your family! Enjoy your family! Show them they are special. Take time to be with them. And the best way for me to do that is to make a home-cooked meal. Today we're having chicken noodle soup and it's the real deal with bone broth for all the healing properties. It takes some time, but it's not hard.
Feel free to screen shot the recipes or order your own copy of my 2nd cookbook here. Both the Rustic Mini Loaves and Zucchini Cake recipes are in that cookbook. www.acountry-life.com
Some of my favorites from this video:
Electric Pressure cooker (mine is no longer available, but here is one similar) amzn.to/3qJ9Adz
Bread machine (mine is so old it's been updated) amzn.to/3BN65sQ
Magnetic measuring spoons amzn.to/3Dze4Lb
Chef's knife amzn.to/3qKrcWi
10 qt. stockpot (mine is RevereWare - looks like those aren't made any longer) amzn.to/3Bq2akb this one is similar

Hi friends! I'm Jennifer, a forty-something wife and mother of 7 children ages 9 - 24. We are Catholic. We homeschool. We cook from scratch. We farm cranberries. We drink coffee. We advocate for Down syndrome awareness. We are loud. We are chaotic.
Here I'll share vlogs about all these things, what I'm doing that works and what I've tried but didn't work. I hope to encourage you in your journey through motherhood, homeschooling, learning to cook, and growing in your faith through it all.

I love seeing your kitchen it is a real working kitchen with real people living in the house. I love seeing a clean kitchen but if that happens at our house once a day it is probably close to a miracle there is usually something left out. Or waiting for you the next day

Hi Jennifer and sweet family. I throughly enjoy watching your videos. You are so down to earth real, no trying to be all fancy, your the real deal. I’m just an old country woman in the hills of Tennessee. I have both cook books and this is the way I cook too. Homemade is the best. I make my chicken soup the same way, it’s delicious on a cool evening or during the winter to warm you to the bone. Hope all is well with your family and y’all have a blessed night!

The cake looked delicious! Do you always strain your frozen zucchini before baking with it? There has been times I do and it seems a little dry, then other times I don't strain it and its way to moist the bread, muffins or cake. Thank you so much for all you share! Definitely have made me enjoy my time in the kitchen. And to love my family well with food.

I don't press out all the moisture in my thawed zucchini, probably about half of it. That seems to be the right amount of moisture and I like the flavor the zucchini water adds.

Hi Jennifer. My trick to get the instant pot to pressure quickly is I put whatever liquid I’m using in first and hit the sauté button as I’m prepping whatever is going into the pot once it’s boiling I hit cancel and then add the lid.
@acountrylife
@acountrylife Жыл бұрын
That's a great tip. I've covered my crockpot before when I start with something frozen and the lid won't quite close. Once it thaws enough for the lid to close then I remove the towel. I never even thought about that with the pressure cooker.
@reneelopez902

Chicken noodle soup is not my favorite soup usually I go for a hardier chatter type soup or something but I've got a cold or massive allergies today and that meal actually looked fantastic to me may have to see if we've got some logical chicken parts and stuff to use. Looking good and I was paying attention to how you season then things because I guess that's one of the things about chicken soup that I never care for even of my own the seasoning just doesn't end up as right as I would like
