My Premier Project Plans: paskmakes.com/...
My Free Plans: paskmakes.com/...
The project I'm working on at the moment is a set of drawers for the back of my truck. There will be a video for that but it was getting a little too long. So I decided to show this homemade drawer catch in it's own video. The video is a little simple but I thought it may be helpful to somebody and to also show that it's possible to make your own hardware.
The truck drawer video should be out in a couple of days time.
As always I'm happy to answer any questions.

Just a note to express my appreciation for taking the time, ( I know how much time it takes to shoot and edit video) to produce these very informative, easy to understand tutorials. After watching your truck drawer video I built one similar for my 2001 Ford F150. It's perfect for my needs & I could not have done it without the insight you provided. Thank you from California!

I made a drawer box for my truck a year ago but couldn't find a good lock mechanism. The skateboard bearings and tube steel are perfect and my drawer slides super smooth. This is drawer catch is amazing. I'm going to build one right away. Great videos...I'm officially a subscriber.

I like the little latch. I'm building a little library for the neighborhood and nobody seems to want to cough up even a latch much less a piece of lumber worth a darn. However since most of the local residents are elderly people or getting there I want to make it as easy for them to use as possible. This video gives me lots of ideas for a bit more fancy latch with a bit better handle they won't whine and complain about it being unsightly. You know how some old geezers can be.

Absolutely worth showing. Thanks for taking the time to put the videos together. I almost purchased the Decked System for $1349 us. I am using you video for the basic plan for my F250 with an 8' bed. I am 1/2 through the project. Thanks again.

Your drawer slides and latch are an excellent design,it you put some at the opposite end you could also lock it open for when you're parked on not so level ground, quite common here in the mountains of British Columbia.

Great Design! Looking to make these for a camper build, so similar use to yours. I was thinking doing one on each side and connecting them with a rod or something so you can open both at the same time. I'll also try building these inverted so you have to pull up to open, that might save the use of the spring mechanism!

Actually the part I find most interesting... is what "drawer slides" you are using. Just a square tubing, I assume you attached them to the drawers by predrilling a hole and then use self-drilling screws to attach nicely. Those drawers then have a nice heavy-duty support from the square tubing... and they roll on ball-bearings... That is a very effective design for heavy-duty... extra long drawers that you can pull out nearly all the way. I would say this design is not only useful for your car, but any application where you have drawers that need to hold allot load.

Simple soIution to a common problem for tradies. I love it when you enthusiasts and tradies do their vids in fast motion..it is practical, and also looks funny...I wish more people would do that...to the ones who don't, I fast forward my youtube. There is times you don't need to show each screwhole being made, and screw going in,it is so nerdish and boring...it is very tedious to look at in the least. Well done Pask, good work.
