Excellent information. I used to throw crumpled egg shells along with used tea leaves around my roses. Will try your recipe soon. Thanks.

can you do the same thing with crushed oyster shells
@Dr.WarrenКүн бұрын
So this is actually brilliant! Oyster shells are calcium carbonate and would work. I don't know if I would stick oyster shells in a blender😳. They are much thicker than an egg shell even crushed up. Maybe use an old blender. I go to Apalachicola once every 2-3 years. I might have to grab a handful of shells and try this out.

Interesting! I get very curious about what happens chemicly when you leave it for longer? Why should you not use it? I usually put eggshells in the microwave for 3 minutes before grinding them up and feeding them to my worms. But I will try this in spring! Thanks!

acrobat.adobe.com/id/urn:aaid:sc:VA6C2:febb6a97-459f-4a2d-9492-c820f89fbb47 I made the recommendation based off research. Pharmaceutical grade calcium acetate is good for 2-3 years when stored air tight in a temp and humidity controlled environment. Most people are going to store this in a garage or out building which means it probably isn't going to last as long

What if I substitute the Acetic acid with the citric acid instead?
@sudarmiadi449611 сағат бұрын
Since both are weak acid, having a chelation ability, and of course the carbon chain

It should work but I would need to calculate molarity to figure out the correct ratios to run it to completion. 3 CaCO3(s) + 2 C6H8O7(aq) → Ca3(C6H5O7)2(aq) + 3 CO2(g) + 3 H2O(l)

Can i use this on hydroponic?? And how much should i use,,means quantity,, Seeing the full video but not feel bored.. It’s helpful.. Thanks

Typically in hydroponics you use some variation of hoglang solution that has 15+ other nutrients needed for plants. I want to do a video on that one as well. Hopefully soon.
