Wassalaam Rumana! :) As far as I know Chefmaster, Americolour and Wilton gel colours are all vegetarian. Just double check the ingredients before purchasing but these brands are a good starting point :). Chefmaster for sure is halal friendly and is the brand I mostly use :)

Because you are using such a small amount it doesn't :). Keep in mind you will not get super vibrant colours because if you add too much of the food colour then yes the taste may start coming through :)
