Dude,awesome job! I'm a fabricator as well and just finished my jon boat and trailer build. Saw this video and I'm glad I did. I've got a 5 hp Briggs and Stratton outboard and it's not enough anymore so it's time for a bigger motor and this jack plate will work just fine!

Ransel Wildes I really wish I could. I just made this out of necessity. I’ve already got too many irons in the fire

Thanks for making this video! I’m actually in the exact same position you were. Question: does the motor ever slide down the slots due to bouncing, etc?my concern is it’s riding on the clamping friction.

Super helpful, and inspiring. I'm going to try one. Thanks!

Awesome video! I see both pieces are 12” tall. Do you have bolt hole on the angle and slot hole heights and placement numbers. Curious how long the slots are and where they start and stop on your motor plate. Thanks!

I know this is old, for a 9.8hp, would 1/8” angle be strong enough?

I have a short shaft motor with a 20.5 inch transom I need to drop the motor. How would one do that and still be able to steer/shift the motor

How long is the aluminum ? got a pic of it on the boat ?
@randygarcia75775 жыл бұрын
Just a question but what would your price be if you made and sold them
@cledusjohnson76445 жыл бұрын
Randy Garcia I don’t know that’s a good question I guess I never really thought about it. If you were going to try and build and sell I’d think anywhere from $100-$175

If i only need to raise up motor 1 inch.. Couldn't I just bolt 1 inch square piece of aluminum(6 inches long) to top of transom? Ty
@cledusjohnson76445 жыл бұрын
Kirk W absolutely.. I’d say as long as your motor clamps still get a good bite on transom your good
