Es ist so schön, einer Frau beim kochen zuzuschauen. Die Expertise im Ablauf und den fachgerechten Umgang mit den "Werkstoffen" zu bewundern, hat auf mich eine sehr beruhigende Wirkung. Erinnert es mich doch an meine Großmutter, die aus Österreich stammte und unglaublich gut kochte. Zwar schien ihr das viel Zeit und Arbeit abzuverlangen, beides hatte sie aber als Hausfrau ausreichend zur Verfügung. Und so konnte sie die ganze Familie versorgen. Und das nicht nur frei von global gewinnorientierten Superkonzernen industriell gefertigtem Essen, sondern auch mit viel Liebe und familiärer Gemeinschaft.🥰

Das sieht lecker aus. Allerdings würde ich Gewürze wie Nelken, Kardamom, Zimt und Lorbeer in ein Gewürzei geben, bevor es in den Topf kommt, dann muss ich da hinterher nicht mit Pinzette hantieren.

OMG! Thank you so much for sharing this!!!! My son eats ketchup with pretty much everything (except for african food where i had to put jy foot down because it's disgusting with it). Ive always been too lazy to make my own because I found it too complicated but your recipe is so easy. Next harvest time when mom brings bags of tomatoes 🍅 from the garden I'm definitely trying this. And yes absolutely use a cheesecloth or lightweight cotton fabric to put all your spices in. Tie it with cooking thread and put it in your pot. It's definitely easier to get them all out and prevents you from missing pieces.

General recipe seems fine. I would have processed it differently. A major part of why would be the texture, for ketchup I prefer something more "velvety"

Wenn man es ordentlich einkocht, unbebegrenzt. Aber mit Backofeneinkochen kenne ich mich nicht aus. Nutze dafür einen Topf oder Einkochtopf. Weck sagt: 20 Minuten bei 90°C. Da steht das Wasser aber bis zum Füllrand der Gläser.
