Literally, it's not a booster. It's an oxygen pump. By nature, booster is an amplifier. Your pump can't produce the pressure more than the feeding compressor supplies, boosters do. However, the idea is excellent! It's so good, you made me feel envy that I didn't invent it :-)

you're rigth! fill at the speed that the compressor fill, and reaches the pressure that the compressor reaches, but has many advantages, just one mobile piece,, ability to raise oxygen from 50bar to 220b, cheap sure you are capable of making one for yourself

@@TheJoelbv It is an excellent piece for dive shop with unlimited supply of high pressure air, neat engineering idea, simple and effective from any point of view. Just noting: 1. As a pressure vessel, I am afraid, being 100% compliant, outer body need at least to be hydro pressure tested and oxygen cleaned because it may not be classified as a pipe anymore, may be considered as a tank. All piping in (commercial) dive shop usually a subject of certs. I believe boosters manufacturers are subject of DOT compliance by design and all those devices de facto are hydraulic amplifiers and been tested. 2. Contrary to boosters, where oxygen and driving gas are separated, by design, the working volume here being shared by oxygen and driving air (when the piston moves) and there's a theoretical possibility of oil contamination. For sure, you are getting the pipe oxygen level cleaned periodically and, additionally, you may use a high pressure oil filter after the compressor, so you are safe.

@@valeriygorbunov9789 I think the big deal here is it gives you the ability to compress oxygen safely.

Hello! I'm trying to make one myself, can you tell me what's the diameter of the pipe and the wall thickness? I'm designing it with wall thickness of 15mm and want it to work at 30MPA.

Great idee but why not use check valves?

HI Gebert, we try in other projects and sometimes we had problems with them , but the main reason was the cost, in this project we wanted to spend as little as possible, this model cost less than $ 300 :) regards! Joel

with any luck, some clever (and motivated) engineer will take a 4" bore pneumatic cylinder and couple it to a 1" bore cylinder with a couple check valves on it.. et voila... a 4:1 Booster! :)

@@TheJoelbv this is a clever way for people who have access to large supplies of compressed air to safely compress Oxygen. That's no small feat! Congratulations
