You sir are a craftsman. The blade guides should be three bearing assemblies on both sides. The bearings keep the blade true and straight if adjusted correctly preventing blade walk on your tires and making a cleaner cut. I do appreciate your ingenuity.

The log holding mechanism is exactly what i did on my sawmill in the begining, but i did take away the screw option, its just wasting time. I just have sharp stud, with a light tap you can loose/fasten it, Its esay and strong. /Swede

larry cortner The sawmill engages when it is brought up to a higher speed than the idle. centrifugal clutch.

I would stay away from putting any screws in my log because of the chance it might break off . But I do like a lot of your ideas .
