What a fantastic job! The amount of detail you showed is excellent. It's the kind of video a hobbiest can try building themselves. The only thing missing are the blueprint plans which you could sell I imagine if a link was available. Will be checking out your other videos seeing the metal bender has one to watch....thanks.

This is an amazing project. Quick tip: You should put a (small) piece of rubber mat under the the worpiece / workarea.... Otherwise your sheetmetal mesh will wear out very quickly. Other than that, the thing is working great. Even tough, i would not paint it red.. ;) Well done... Greets from Germany

One of the most impressive DIY builds I've ever watched. It sure would have been nice though if you would have sourced some of those parts that you used for those wanting to make something out of other materials, While I have a welder and electrodes, I'm nowhere proficient enough and little time to learn, I'm a Cabinetmaker, so I can do plywood one without too much trouble but would love to know where to get some of the fittings like the return mounted on the bottom, don't know what it's called so I wouldn't know what to look for, same with the grommets for around the glove openings, Those type things are what I need to find.
@Gerrit-Max2 жыл бұрын
I'm definitely gonna have to build one my self now. I've got several items that need sandblasting but can't find anywhere to have it done at a reasonable price.

truly a nice job, unless you need a bigger unit, there is commercial units that are from a very similar design, I've used such a unit that I modified to suit my application, in fact, I've designed and built a bead injector very similar to the one you use and I fabricated an enclosed light unit that I installed inside the cabinet, the major difference is that I've cancelled the air shut off valve on the blast gun and I've installed a foot operated valve outside the cabinet because the experience showed me that beads blocked the air shut off valve in open position.

i also made my own sand blasting cabinet. I found a stainless steel under table with the perfect funnel, so all i needed to do is built the cabinet on top. What i don't see in this video is a filter screen in the funnel ( a fine mazed mosquito net), and i made that in mine, so that bigger chunks of debris will be filtered out and won't block the hose that sucks up the glass beads.

That's a terrific job on the sandblasting cabinet mate - well done and thanks for sharing. Your actual sandblaster / compressor seems very underpowered though, watching the speed of the sandblasting was painful, it was very slow and narrowly focused. Upgrade the compressor / sandblasting gun.
