Great job Thanks for sharing, you will be helping a lot of small farmers. (30 acres of Bermuda for horses)

Nicely done! One of the better looking hay grapples I've seen. Thanks for sharing

This video helped me out a lot, I have the grapple built and I was planning to make deviders to make it an accumulator/grapple but after seeing your setup I’m questioning what to do. Could you talk about your accumulator and how it works? Thanks

I have 2 Different kinds I build one that i use on the loader that I just push around gathering up the bales into groups of 8 and when I am finished I hook the grapple up and load all the packs onto trailer. The other I drag behind my baler and when it gets 8 bales it dumps them. They both have their purpose I guess.

@@MrRanger518 okay last question and then Ill stop bothering you haha what length hose did you use? 5'?
@MrRanger5184 жыл бұрын
Ask all you want no bother glade it helped you get one built. I can’t rember what length hoses I used but I am using mine on a tractor with the hydraulic fitting closer to the bucket then what would be on a skid steer or factory 3rd function on a tractor. I just used a flexible measuring tape like for measuring fabric and tilted grapple all the way up and down to see what length hoses I needed.

Nice work, very clean build!

Nice build. As measured from the front, back to the "skid steer plate", what are the measurements (on center) of the pivoting bars that the hay hooks attach to. I'l like to try to build one of these. Great job.

Could you add a small video on the spacing of the bars with the tines to grab the bales?

Nice job.

And as a side note, do you bale and drop on edge, or flat on the strings?
@blueflame00004 жыл бұрын
What did you end up with for the final width of each individual channel the bales slide in? I'm just trying to decide how much space is really needed for the bale to slide into with little fuss. I'm thinking of running about bale width +3 inches.

did you attach your 3x3 tubing base (the part that has the skid steer plate welded to it) and the actual grapple part together on an angle? Or is it at a 90? Thannks, awsome build
@MrRanger5184 жыл бұрын
Yes I put it at a angle so I would have a little more tilt with it. I believe it is at 15deg angle.
@caseyfenlon22384 жыл бұрын
@@MrRanger518 does that seem to be about right or would you reccomend something different? Also do you think a 10 bale is to big for a skid steer with a 1300lb lifting capacity? not sure what you use on yours

Do you have a schematic of this build and dimensions you would be willing to share ? I'm looking at building one of these and liked the one you built

Have an idea of final cost to build? Thinking about building on vs buying.

If you had to buy all the materials I would say you will be in the $1,000 range

Where did you get the “sickles” or “grapples” from? I can’t seem to find any.
