SMASH BURGER is a thin burger cooked on a grilling plate. It is a juicy burger with crispy brown edges which are developed during the quick and fast grilling process. The lean ground beef was seasoned with only salt and freshly ground black peppers but it is very delicious and flavorful.
We cooked these burgers outdoors so we can used high heat. There is fun and excitement to prepare the SMASH BURGER. You can to choose want you want in your burger, the grilling time , the number of patties and more. Over-all, SMASH BURGERS WERE A SMASHING HIT IN OUR FAMILY !!!
It will be nice if your family will give making SMASH BURGERS a try. This experience is very different when you eat or order burgers in the fast-food chains.

SMASH BURGER
Equipment:
Grilling plate
Burger press
Turner
Wax or parchment paper
Ingredients:
3 ½ lbs lean ground beef, divided into 2 oz. per piece
1 stick butter
Salt and freshly ground black pepper
8-12 pcs. hamburger buns
Optional Add-Ons:
3 large onions, thinly sliced
Sliced Mozzarella or Cheddar cheese
Bacon slices
Mushroom slices
Lettuce torn in pieces
Cucumber, sliced
Tomatoes, sliced

This hamburger is exactly the way I like it; salt and pepper for the lean ground beef and all the trimmings! The only greens I would add is arugula, one of my favorite greens for salads. Thanks for sharing!

The smash burger was cooked in its own fat making it brown on the edges while keeping the beef still juicy. The salt and pepper boosted and enhanced the flavor of the ground beef. I will be trying the arugula next time. As always, thank you for your comments and support. Take care.
