Who among us wouldn’t like HOPIA? Among us Filipinos this is one of our all- time favourite snacks especially when served warm. I remember buying several bagsful in Quiapo near the Quinta market when I was small with my Nanay. The bakery seemed to only sell mostly hopia as there were several big containers for hopia on top of their "askaparate".
As a balikbayan a few years ago, I bought boxes of hopia to bring home to Canada. The bakery was still there. Yeheey! But, there were many bakeries now Quiapo selling hopia! There is no doubt, we truly love hopia.
Now in Canada, I am grateful for all you tube creators just like me who shared their hopia recipe. I can now make hopia!

Red Bean Paste Ingredients:
1 lb. dried adzuki beans
1 ½ C sugar
1 C butter

Hopia Ingredients:
Water Dough:
2 C all-purpose flour
3 T sugar
1/3 C cooking oil
½ t salt
½ C water
Oil Dough:
1 C cake flour
½ C shortening
Egg Wash
1 egg beaten and diluted with ¼ C water
