He would buy them for $90, make a fake invoice showing that they were $250 wholesale, say he normally sold them for $325 but needed to offload them and would pocket the difference. He'd even let them "haggle" him down to $175, saying he was willing to "take the loss" so he didn't have to pay a nonexistent restock fee. He could sell 10 or so a day and make a tidy profit.
