homemade twin track go kart II

Motified homemade twin track go kart added new boggie system to help with the tracking of the tracks, video going though the snow and showing some of the drive system using two artic cat 121 x 16 snowmobile tracks, I am guessing it goes about 15 mph which is fast enough going though the woods, I am using a 8hp motor it can be a little under powered going up hills in deep snow but works great around in the yard

You should create plans for this and sell them for like 50$. I would totally give you 50$ for detailed drawings and a parts list. Only thing I would do differently is set it up to run a predator twin cylinder engine with electric start, then wire up a battery and add some lights. Also would change the design of the roll cage. But that would be easy to do on my own. I would just need the initial setup.

the boggie wheel framework in made up of 1/2 x 1 steel bars and I slotted the parts so I could get the boggie wheels in the righ position on the track

Google "Comet reverse transmission". They are made for gokarts and other small low HP machines so you can have a reverse. But don't shift them with the shaft turning. I bought one for a 4 wheel drive & 4 wheel steer pedal power kart that I'm building.

voodoodr baker is right if you want a good control it's best to go with hydrualics. from the motor I used a 12 tooth sprocket to a 72 tooth on the jack shaft the pulleys are 5in the sprockets for the tracks are about 6in, this machine is hard to controll and has no reverse another reason for hydrualics, right now I am trying to find some hydros out of a zero turn lawnmower to see if I can get that to work

i just want to let it be known that having the engine piston pointing towards your chest while not inherently dangerous can still lead to fatal injury in the case of catastrophic engine failure (cylinder detonation comes to mind) of course that is just personal opinion, do as you wish with your own safety.
