Nice one Peter! This version is looking really good. I have one small suggestion, you can rotate the silencer on the Moster at 120 degree intervals so that the exhaust port faces backwards. I don't think it will affect performance with the way you have it but it may look a little better aesthetically and will blow the exhaust with the airflow. Really curious to see how the motor works in that orientation over time!

For your tig welding, are you using amy sort of flux, or purging the pipes of oxygen? If you use Solar Flux on the interior of the pipe (or purge your pipe with argon/inert gas) you will get less or no porosity on your welds, and have a higher quality weld You might be doing that, just thought I'd give my advice anyway

Awesome! I want to build one but mine will be a different approach. I saw diy bulds of using a hang glider attached to an imflatable boat with the ultra lite motor on the back. So you can sit and just use the triangle to make the kite pull the boat up out of the water. great for fishing lol

@@twinleaf3076 based on a quick search, parachutes open in around 400 feet of a free fall, minimum. Doubt he'll be flying that high, and even if he is, I highly doubt the plane will break in level flight, rather than on the ascent / landing.

This way of 'landing' was also used on Zeppelins.

That is a process that many newbies have had no problem with. It is often recommended that one have the motor mount welded pro, but the other parts are often welded by amateurs and often gas welded which is dead cheap and well proven in aircraft.

Didn't dislike... but enjoyed when he went into more technical detail. These are cut like travel chanel specials now. Some people don't get as much from these, but it reaches a broader audience.

isnt tig generally used for very light metals to avoid burning through? MIG seems more appropriate but then again i havent touched a welder in 15 years
