A homemaking day in my life of sprouting grains and cooking food from scratch! I share with you my easy go to sourdough discard recipe- never dump your discard again or buy crackers again for that matter!
I'm also sprouting my wheat berries. Sprouting makes the nutrients in the wheat berries more available and able to digest. I was so intimidated to sprout them, but it's really not that hard CORRECTION - I said 125 degrees, it's actually 95 degrees, I was just dehydrating apples and this is what I dehydrate those at and got mixed up**
!I also am making my favorite warm weather hibiscus tea, this overnight infusion was nettle, oat straw and hibiscus.
Lastly, I'm making one of my favorite from scratch dinners, meatloaf! I hope you enjoyed todays video, God bless you!

Hi Kelli, I wanted to let you know your channel is my favorite and that KZbin keeps unsubscribing me from your channel. At least the last five times that I’ve watched your videos I’ve checked, and sure enough they have unsubscribed me and I resubscribe, of course. Now I check every single time. I thought you might want to mention it to your viewers to make sure KZbin is not also manipulating their subscriptions. I take this as a clear sign that your and Scott’s efforts to challenge the culture are effective. Thank you for all you do. God Bless!

If you made a “cookbook” or “how to” book with all your recipes and ways you make things homemade I would buy it ❤

Where have you younger women been all of my life???? 😆I literally have been doing all of this stuff all by my lonesome for 15 years! Everyone I come into contact with is like, "Why do you do all of that? Its easier to buy it." I have been an island in the stream all this time & now FINALLY there are women who care about this....but only in youtube land. It would have been fun in my younger years to have a friend that was into all this cool stuff. Kelli, have you ever tried COOKING in your cooler? Yes, it can be done. I have 'roasted' chicken before & spaghetti & meatballs - just to prove that I could.

I Love this video. I’m in my first trimester and I’ve been feeling sick and haven’t been able to spend as much time caring for my home or cooking as usual. But today I feel pretty normal and made chicken cacciatore, sourdough banana bread, and then realized I needed to make yogurt and did that along with you. Thank you for the inspiration ♥️

Wow, that is amazing, you really did do a lot, and also totally understand the days where rest and healing is the priority. It is nice on the days you're feeling your best to be able to get things done. God bless you and your baby!!

A lovely, peaceful video. I make yogurt in my instant pot, but that way looks great! I really want to get a mill one day and grind my own flour. So cool that you can use sprouted wheat too.

I’ve been thinking that I’ll try sprouting the grains as well when I move to grinding my flour myself. Just thinking about it left me feeling intimidated which seems so silly now. Your tea looks delicious and with the blessing of a bright sunny morning here this morning it looks particularly refreshing! Is it a blend you put together or did you purchase a blend? Great day in the kitchen Kelli!

Kelli, Did you second hand buy your mortar and pestle or did you buy it brand new? I'm shopping for one. My concern is buying a safe one. I'd heard about some being high in heavy metals. I made kombucha earlier today and i also compost my parchment paper. I thought I was the only one who did that LOL.

I thought that appliance 3:08 looked new. Different than SA: cooler, no mountains or monkeys, but reliable electricity. Is that a Berkey or Aquapur at 6:13? Hibiscus is great. Cranberry ginger sauce for my meatloaf. I want to remodel your kitchen to give you more counter space.😅

ANother beautiful and practical video! Bravo! Question: could you make Greek Yogurt using the same cooler method?
@denisekeller249

Greek yogurt is just strained regular yogurt so yes you can. You just have to then strain it to get out more of the whey.

Tell me about freezing your milk. In masons? And where do I get that compost pail?
@homewithkelli
@homewithkelli 4 ай бұрын
Yes! I freeze them in quart size mason jars and make sure the milk is below where the jar starts to curve so it doesn't break. I got it from World Market!

Do you use raw milk for the yogurt? I think I might try this, looks much easier than the instant pot.

Yes! Although, I guess it doesn't fully matter because I end up heating up the milk anyways.
