Cream Cheese whipped frosting recipe: (tastes amazing, but best for a sheet cake topping!)
2 eight oz. pkg. cream cheese
1 1/2 c. powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. heavy whipping cream
Beat the cream cheese, sugar and vanilla until smooth and fluffy. In a separate bowl, beat the heavy whipping cream until nearly stiff peaks form. Then add the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture. Add any food coloring. Quickly and briefly beat to combine. Do not over beat or you'll have butter! 😆

Hi Megan, I just want to let you know you're making a bigger difference through this channel than you think. My husband and I are fairly newly weds, first generation Christians, and grew up in dysfunctional homes -- we're trying to live out our married life pleasing to God, but we honesty never had it modeled to us so we didn't even know what that looks like. God led me to your channel to give me a vision of what a godly family and home looks like. You're showing me aspects of a proverbs 31 woman. Thank you for sharing your life with the world! So grateful for you, and to God be all the glory.

I waited and prayed most of our marriage to be able to stay home with my kids. It was my dream. Six years ago, the Lord made it happen for me. My son was 9, and daughters were 16 and 23 when I was able to stay home. I absolutely treasure this time.

Hi Megan. I have been watching you videos over the past couple of days. Your videos are so much fun to watch. I am a cake artist and one of the most important things that I can tell you is, no cake is perfect. It is an handmade product, and the most important ingredient is Love. If you want to stabilize your cake, you can use wooden dowels, plastic dowels, our my favorite, straws. This will keep the layers in place. The little flowers on your inspiration photo, are most likely made of fondant (a sugar paste) (with a plunger or cutter). If you don't like (white) chocolate you can replace that with candy melts, they have same effect without the chocolate taste. And if you really want to go all out ;) there are about a billion moulds for sale, that you can use with chocolate, candy melts and fondant (and marzipan). But as long as you had fun making the cake, the cake is as perfect as it can get. Lots of love Leantine

After icing and layering your cake try using wooden skewers pushed down through your layer cake to keep it from shifting. Snap the skewer into a length that will disappear just below the level of the top of the cake.

Your husband's prayer brought me to tears. And the way he laid his hand on little Miller as he prayed was so touching and precious. It just warms my heart to know that there are such Godly young couples continuing to raise children in the fear of the Lord even in this crazy, upside-down, twisted, disgusting society. You are such a normal family, and that is what people long to see. I know God led you to start this channel to share and open your lives to the world. I know it isn't easy to do that, yet there is such a dire need for it right now more than ever. Thank you for dressing modestly and for holding true to what you have been raised in and taught. Thank you for not compromising or giving in to what the world demands and dictates. I truly appreciate you and pray for you and your family. God bless and keep you always, and may you never change.

Some gift wrapping ideas for a mom-or any special lady in your life. Use large scarfs to wrap around gifts. It's beautiful & is a bonus gift. I also like grabbing floral canvas bags from Joann's fabric. They are pretty but very utilitarian. Thrifted baskets are nice, too. Add a wired bow to dress it up if you like, or tie a small scarf around it as well. I find lots of gorgeous scarfs while thrifting so they are an economical add on. My intent is to make what ever I use to wrap a gift part of the present. Hope these help. God bless!!!

Hey just a tip on your Hanging baskets from this garden center owner. For Hanging baskets you dont want a filler , thriller, and spiller. Thats just for planters. Whats going to happen is your going to get very lopsided Hanging baskets. Now if you would put another of each plant in it would balance each other? you have 2 things in that rather tend to spill. Hey its ok if you dont mind uneven baskets and its not to late to change them! Also to keep Gerber Daisies blooming, make sure you keep pulling the center leaves out so the sunshine can get in to the middle to the buds. Just leave a row of leaves around the outside but keep all leaves away from the center.

I know from experience how trying cake decorating can be, but your cake turned out adorable AND I learned a new tip from you. I've never seen anyone apply the dye to the beaters rather than dripping it into the frosting. Very clever and easier to control. Now that you are getting into gardening, many flowers are edible as long as you don't use pesticides. You can have lots of fun decorating with them and berries from the garden too!

You did a wonderful job on the cakes yet again!! But I used to decorate cakes so hopefully these tips help you - Instead of cutting the rounded tops off of cakes which causes more crumbs in the frosting. After taking the cakes out of the oven flatten the tops immediately with the bottom of another cake pan of the same size. Just press evenly on all sides but still use the bottoms as tops, which I think you did any who. 😄 Freezing the cakes and frosting them while still frozen is essential and your correct that it also prevents crumbs. Frosting does not need extra liquids unless absolutely necessary and only a teaspoon at a time. Cream cheese frosting is a softer frosting to begin with - So it helps to firm it up with 1 cup of butter (plus your cream cheese) and an entire bag of powdered sugar plus additional if needed. Then it will also be firm enough to decorate your daisies with in a piping bag with tip. If not just pop the frosting in the fridge or freezer until it’s firm enough to do what you need it to do. It looks like your frosting recipe would be great on bars, cookies or cinnamon rolls thou since it’s so spreadable. Good luck and have fun with it! Hopefully these tips help you!

Hi Megan! My mom made cakes (mostly wedding & far too many birthday...lol) for over 30 years and taught me a few things. Here are a few tips for layered cakes... *Always put the bottom layer flat side down with a tiny bit of frosting in the center of the stand or board to act as a glue to keep the layer in place *When frosting between layers don't go all the way to the edge. Instead, use a frosting bag with a large round tip (or cut a large hole in a disposable bag) to fill in between layers on the outer edges *Once the top layer is frosted, use a decorator bag with a large tube that has a ridge on one side & flat on the other. The tube I'm thinking of is about the same height as a single layer. Then you'll only need to go around the cake a couple of times to smooth it out. *And with multiple layers like this cake buy a skinny wooden dowel rod and cut it into sections according to the height of your cake. Then put the pieces throughout the cake starting in the center then about an inch or two from it going around in a circle or whatever shape the cake is. It helps to keep the cake upright and prevents sliding. Doing each of these steps helps shorten the time in decorating. When I used to make my own cakes for friends and family by hand like you did it took so long. But using the decorator (frosting) bags and larger tip it cut the time tremendously. When I would make the tiered cakes and even a couple of wedding cakes I'd go borrow my mom's stuff to do them. Ha!

Lovely video, Megan. So many great ideas here! I think you should try buying a set of Wilton fabric cake strips. They're great for people who make a lot of layered cakes (like you & me)! You just let them soak in water for a bit & wrap them around your cake pans before tossing the cakes in the oven. I get perfectly flat cake layers each time & never have to trim the tops off (which can get crumbs in your icing). I had never made a layer cake until I started practicing my 3-layer cake for my budget wedding... I used the cake strips & my layers were perfectly flat on the tops!

A tip on pampass grass bouquets… next time you pick them, Hairspray them really really good so that when they dry they don’t drop pampass everywhere. I have some bouquets from fall still that look beautiful and have caused no mess so far!

I always connect my layered cakes with toothpicks. Can help with the “leaning”. Good luck 🍀 it does look super cute and probably tastes great too! ✨

Hi Megan! I love to bake so much that is what I am assigned for family gatherings, Birthdays, and holidays. Something I taught myself when icing a cake already on the stand... I tear pieces of wax paper and lay them around the outer edges of the stand so only about an inch or so will be under the cake. Place the cake, ice, and decorate. Any extra icing on the stand is easily removed by gently pulling the wax paper away. No need to wipe and wipe and wipe. Just a tip from one baker to another. I also always bake a brand new item to take to events, risky right!

Megan, your daughter is a natural at gardening! Try to find a spot to plant a couple of pumpkins. The kids will be so excited to watch them grow all summer, then harvest and display them come fall!

Looks like good times! I mostly did tomatoes for gardening this year! Hopefully I can put them out soon! It's still chilly here though...so now I have 60 tomato plants hanging out on our table! 😆

I love when you share little drives through Lancaster and all the fun shops in Lancaster. Calico Creek is a beautiful shop. I live in NJ so we go to Lancaster 2-3 times a year and I love it there. If I did not live on NJ, I could see me living in Lancaster 💕💕

I appreciate your videos! I found you searching for modest winter clothing. I’ve learned so much. I am girly and have few places to go online where I can enjoy girly content & it be clean. Thank you!

Do you hang out with non- Mennonite friends? Thrifting is so fun! You never know what you’re going to find! Very Megan clothes❤️ as much fun as you have baking sweets-cookies/cakes you should see if there is a local community college or shop that has cake decorating classes- just for fun with your friends. Once upon a time JoAnn fabrics would bring in Wilton professionals to do like a 3 week cake and cookie decorating classes! I went with friends and had a great time! Oh my goodness your baby girl is so fun!!! The boys are so sweet too ❤️

I love Modest clothing, I am groomed into dressing modestly by the teachings at church, and I'm so convicted about a woman respecting their body and honouring God with what they wear too. Really what we put on really matters!... your ideas and your style is so inspiring to me. I fell in love with ur vids 2 years ago n have been attached to u since. Love ur family n ur lifestyle. keep Going n God bless u n ur family Meg... much love watching from Botswana

I’m going to share my wildflower experience with you, mine did not do great the first year, it was alright, but not spectacular. Year number 2 I only sowed a small amount of seeds into the previous years bed, and combined with the volunteers which came up on their own from the previous year, we ended up with the most spectacular wildflower bed. Still one of my very favorite garden looks!!! I did basically let the first year flowers go to seed before I pulled out the remaining plants and also shook the seeds from the plants being the removed when cleaning out the bed after the fall blooms. So we ended up with a great Spring, Summer and Fall bed all from the same planting plus a little booster in year 2. Year 3 was fab all on its own. Easiest gardening I’ve ever done!!!
Hoping this works…
