I never comment, but you have a new subscriber ! Your statement “ we are doing this out of obedience to God in this season” makes perfect sense and I can relate to it 100%. Hearing you say that was confirmation for me, that I am where God intended for me to be in this season. I absolutely LOVE your video and PLEASE keep them coming !!! It’s hard to find good Christian content, so I look forward to your future videos. All the best on this new journey ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉

Thank you so much! What an encouraging comment. I hear you sis, it can be so difficult when you feel so pulled to one direction but Gos is asking for obedience in another. What I know for sure is that there is so much GRACE in obedience even when it doesn’t make sense to the outside world, God is for you xx

Yes! I have two children i work as a fulltime nurse and a full-time student. I need this Edit: i commented this before i knew your husband was a stay at home dad. I am currently in this situation... he needs to pull more weight or you will get sick. It comes to a point of if i am doing everything then why are you here? Its a terrible feeling especially when his masculinity becomes damaged. And you're a doctor so i am sure you also get the "what does your husband do" question. He should be the one making the home smooth for you. This isnt out of spite im dealing with this now.

Lovely video that appeared on my feed :) I would say that your current situation isn't in obedience to God however, because the Bible explicitly says that the women should be keepers of the home (Titus 2). I empathise with your situation but I think in order to go back to this ideal situation certain sacrifices will need to be made.
@Sarah.the.Homemaker4 ай бұрын
Is she not a keeper at home? Between cleaning, cooking, and laundry... I think she covered it.
@Shalom.K4 ай бұрын
Would you consider the Proverbs 31 woman in rebellion to that scripture then?
@Nellahgrace.4 ай бұрын
Keepers of the home is exactly what I’m doing. Keeping the home doesn’t mean exclusively staying at home always. See Proverbs 31 women for example. We are definitely in obedience in our situation as the Lord explicitly instructed us in this season. But I understand why you may feel the way you do and how you see it. I’m sure when Hosea married a prostitute and told people he was in obedience to God. They thought he was mad. But alas. It’s definitely important to be led by the Spirit.
@MaryroseMandarin4 ай бұрын
@@Nellahgrace. That’s a fair point, but keeping the home when you look at the Greek is to guard, guide, manage. Being a doctor, I’m sure the hours are long. Plus your daily schedule is managed and set by your employer. The Proverbs 31 woman was certainly industrious but you’ll see that everything she did was “for the good of her household”. She didn’t work for any employer, she set her own tasks, duties and endeavours to profit her home. Likewise with Hosea, God explicitly commanded him to marry a prostitute and he listened. This was to parallel God’s relationship with Israel who had forsaken Him but signified that he would redeem them. (Hosea 3) We have the word of God as our guide, it is written and completed for us to know exactly what God expects of us. There is nothing new that God will tell us individually that isn’t already in the Bible. But there’s grace of course if you have to do what you need to do for a season. You said you wish for the ideal of being at home, so I’ll mention you in my prayers 🙏🏾☺️
