Aww, poor Homer, it's not surprising he'd be afraid of bears after getting attacked by one. I doubt Paddington or Pooh Bear (unless we're talking about Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey) would hurt him though, although might if they were in danger or he upset them first. This scene honestly made me think about how much humans seem to enjoy making dangerous creatures seem cute and harmless, and how strange that really is. I mean, as shown in this bears are used for food packaging and design, toys, media such as books, etc. It's the same with animals like raccoons, swans, and even certain breeds of foxes.
