HOMESCHOOL ROOM TOUR// LARGE FAMILY SMALL HOUSE// CHARLOTTE MASON INSPIRED SCHOOL ROOM: In this video, I share what our space looks like for homeschooling with six children in a small house. I show you how I break up the space so that everyone can have a place to work. I also show how we manage toys and back-stock items in such a small space. P.S. We have way more books in our basement than what we keep in the school room.

Loved it, Joy! I have 6 kids, too. 3 school aged and 3 little ones. I really liked your homeschool room, especially the cozy couch reading area :) Keep up the great work and bless you on your new school year ahead!

Thanks for sharing. After baby out grows play pin we really like the coral play sets we would use them outside too especially if we sat by the pool we wud set it up in the grass cud add shade over it and kids got to play in the grass. Big enough and can add more to it that it becomes like a tiny fenced yard for the littles. My mom still uses it anytime tiny kids go to play at the pool at her house now.

I'll look for the sewing book. I just inherited my grandmother's sewing desk and excited to teach my girls.

I've been considering a game table that has a cover so we can put a puzzle away without moving it so we can keep working on it but still use the table. We are investing in more games and some of them are longer play strategy games that kids dont finish in 1 sitting. So I'm really looking at how I can take apart a coffee table maybe so the game sits inside and then have a folding cover top to put on when we aren't playing

Love the bags, my grandmother makes me them for Christmas. I cleared our pantry and have started keeping toys like that in there, the ones with pieces and the games.

would you do a video on how you use my bookhouse and childcraft?
@joycherrick
@joycherrick Жыл бұрын
I have both! But my heart is with My Book House bc it is richer in literature. The Childcraft has literature but it also has science and mathematics etc that bring it into more subjects

I just got our new bibles in the mail yesterday. Im sooo excited. I let my girls pick from a few options, months ago. I ordered for Christmas and they are here :) they are these beautiful kjv coloring journal bibles :) plan is fill them up and read through them and keep for their hope chests :) my youngest got his first bible too. But when big girls color in their new bibles he has a doodle bible with books in order that he can color any section in his book when we read and color too. I appreciate that it's the entire bible to color not just some pages out of order.

Im new to your channel and so enjoying hte content. Also, thank you very much for having minimal or no music in your videos. I know it's very trendy for youtubers to produce their videos with lots of music, but for many of us it's so distracting or sensory overwhelming that we can't hear what is being said over the background music. So thank you for keeping your videos clear and simple! :)

Yes. Love, my son loves to draw a picture after we read, as he retells me the story of his picture I write it for him. I'm considering binding them into books or 1 big book each yr. Think his children will enjoy his drawing and stories someday in one big book. I'm going to do one for this, one for writing, a centuries book and 1 for just art. Trying to keep stray papers in one place.

Great video, Joy. Thanks for sharing. Would love to hear more about how you craft your curriculum. Do you use Ambleside exclusively? Particularly, would love to hear more about your 3rd grader curriculum. Thanks!
@joycherrick

I do use AmblesideOnline for the majority of our curriculum. The more independent my older children become, the more closely I follow AO for them. I use the same concept as AO for groups in that I combine books and grades for our read aloud time. I might do a video on each grade and how I use AO- since I've finally gotten into a groove with it!

Can I ask where you got the black drawing narration book? I would love to purchase one like that for my 4th grader this year for CM. We’re currently using small sketch books but he definitely needs more drawing room
