Honestly this is one of my favorite videos you have ever put out. So much truth. And such encouragement. But as the mom of a graduated homeschooler it is the COOLEST most REWARDING feelings that you chose to do this and it was successful.

Oh my a goodness. My oldest is in 7th grade and now I’m sitting here with tears thinking of senior year. 🥹 The very first year we started school, he was 3, almost 4. I wanted to take a photo of him on the last day. I will never ever forget what he said “No mama, not just me. You get in the picture with me. We did it mama!”

These high school videos are such a blessing. We homeschooled for one year after the nightmare of public schooling and covid. (I wish i would have pulled my kids out sooner though) So, we home schooled for one year (9th and 6th grade), and it didn't go well at all. It was a very big year with a lot of change and grief after losing my mom. I found a small private school that aligns with our values, and that is where my kids go now. I wish I had had more resources like this because it would have taken a lot of stress and fear out of the equation. Thank you for continuing to share content like this for all of us Mammas who are just trying to make the best education choices for our children. Oh my goodness. The end of this video. It is true. I blinked my eyes, and my son went from preschool to next year, a senior in highschool. You really start holding on SO hard to every memory here at the end of their schooling journey.

Thank you, Ashlee, for this video. My oldest is going into high school next year and it's interesting how many poeple have been asking me recently if i'm going to send my kids to public school now that they are getting into high school years so they don't "miss out" on those experiences. I agree, these years are so important. I feel very blessed to have them home, especially at this point in their lives.

Thank you!! I really needed this pep talk. My 10th grade daughter is interested in public school and I've found an early college dual credit small school that we're looking into. But I'm going to pray really hard about it. I'm not sure how much of it is her earnest desire vs seeing some of her friends go to 'regular' school. Pray for us. 🙏

We got together with a few other homeschoolers and had a graduation ceremony with reception afterwards. We had a friend to play the Pomp and Circumstance for them to march into the room. They had their own individual tables set up with pictures, etc and cap and gown. We had a photo area set up for pictures. Parents passed out the diploma and said something about their child. Each child had the opportunity (if they wanted to) to either sing a song, play an instrument, give a speech, etc...whatever their personal interest was. It was a wonderful graduation because it was so personalized. We also had cards for people to write thoughts, advice, etc to the graduate. The second one to graduate chose not to have a ceremony; he just wanted the open house which he shared with his brother who graduated from college the same year.

Idk how I missed this video originally but whoa I needed this because yesterday I was looking Into public highschool enrollment because of the attitude. I'm thankful I was aware of myself being emotional and I was just looking because I was aggravated not because I was serious. But ugh sometimes it feels like we are alone in this teenage life.

This is a really good video. It is true though that if your kid will be playing NCAA D1 or D2 you will have to fill out their CCW and you will have to list every single curriculum or book your child used. And then, you will have to list the table of content of said curriculum. So, you better keep strict record starting in 9th grade of every single thing you used. that way, when the times comes, you’re not going crazy trying to remember what you did or did not do. It’s not daunting if you know what’s coming.

From doing my own research the only reason you would need to have course descriptions for each class is if you have a child planning to play sports in a division 1 or 2 ncaa school. I have a son who has that plan and it isn’t as scary as it seems :)
