Oh my gosh, I just discovered your channel and I love it despite not being a mother or even married! I’m 23 and a student still and I’m only now starting to get properly organised and really feel like an adult! You have so many great ideas not just for the future children I plan on having but also just for how to better organise my day, scheduling, learning, discipline and habits etc.

I know! I’ve been obsessed with the idea of homeschooling my kids since I was 15!! I love how in-depth this channel is! And these women seem so put together!

Infants and toddlers. When it just isnt working. They are ill. Or they just need more of my attention that day. I love an Ergo (original) carrier and they spend time in it on my back. To facilitate the movement i will sit on a large physio ball to bounce as they need. It is a new generation. A bounce is more soothing than a rock 😃

The busy bags sound a little like Montessori activities which are a bit more organized on a tray

Everything you ladies talk about is very valuable to me, thank you. I know the CM method is not a box curriculum. However, would you consider creating a box system for those of us who need help putting it all together? I have an 8, a 5, and twin 3's. Thank you !!

We do have kind of a "boxed curriculum" system with our lesson plans-we're not able at this point to simply send you all the books you need, but we can give you a complete book list for every subject and day-by-day lesson plans. Start on this page to see how those work: simplycharlottemason.com/planning/curriculum-guide/ And if you have questions, feel free to send us a message and we'll be happy to walk you through the book lists and choosing what parts of our curriculum will work best for your home school.

I have a 5 year old that will be 6 in September, how should I switch from preschool to expecting him to sit through more lessons?

With Charlotte Mason, you'll be doing very short lessons at the beginning-20 minutes maximum. The short lessons gradually get longer as your child gets older. We also did a video talking about how to help children learn to sit still; that may be helpful: kzbin.info/www/bejne/r3TIc36mhbKgaNk

Preschoolers are challenging, but I have personally found toddlers to be more so. I'm a little nervous about this upcoming school year as I'll have a baby, toddler, preschooler, kindergartener, 3rd grader and 6th grader.

If you see this, 3 years on, how did you navigate with a toddler? I've got a very busy 15 month old boy and trying to get anything done on some days feels impossible!! I'll take all the tips and tricks!!!!

I love your videos so much! I was curious how did you learn about sit training and blanket training And learning boundaries for your children is there a book on it? I’ve heard different parents use this method but I wasn’t sure where the idea came from I’d love to learn more about it

I don't even recall when I first heard about blanket training. It was just an idea that was mentioned in passing and I adapted it for my situation. I've been told that different authors have different techniques and methods that they recommend using as you blanket train; some of which I would not condone, based on what has been described to me. I haven't read those books for myself, so I can't say definitively which one would be best. My approach was to approach any training as "practice sessions," and try to keep them positive while working toward a goal in little baby steps.

A great book that I read that helped me with the baby and later in the preschooler years was On Becoming Babywise by Gary Ezzo.

What would you do with a very hyper 3.5yr old? Last year was challenging because he had so much energy. And his energy is the same.
@SimplyCharlotteMason

Various energy levels can be challenging. Habit training begins even in these early years. The suggestions in the video can work well, even for high energy children however it does take great effort and follow through on our part to lay the foundation...the rails.

Thanks for the video. Now I have a clearer idea of how to entertain the little ones while I'm homeschooling the older ones. But how do I give them quality time and rich and beautiful preschool trata while I am with the olders , at what time of the day could this work.
@SimplyCharlotteMason
@SimplyCharlotteMason 4 жыл бұрын
We've found it helps little ones when they get their mommy time at the beginning of the day before you do school work with the older ones. That's a good time to have the older children do chores or independent schoolwork while you're focusing on the little ones.
