My mom used to buy cards once a month and keep them in her calendar, already signed and the envelope stamped and addressed. Then, when she opened her calendar, she would mail any cards for that day. My cousins were always surprised that she remembered their birthday. I have a "card filing box" where it's divided into sections like birthdays, condolences or holidays for instance. When I need one I just check the box and mail it. There's also a bit of room to store blank cards so I can just say "hello".

I’ve got a mug/cup collection as well, and have started using some of my cute mugs that I don’t use as much for other purposes!! I’ve got one small one holding and displaying my tiny spoon collection (I inherited it from my grandparents), another mug I drilled a hole in the bottom and it’s now a planter! Some are now pen holders (because I legitimately need one for multiple rooms, from the office to the workshop to the living room near the post drop off spot lol). My roommate suggested I display ones I don’t use above our cabinets in the kitchen (as ours don’t go all the way to the ceiling) as additional fun decor. I may also get or make a display for mugs that I can hang on the wall and use as an art piece, then I can swap out for the seasons or such if I want a bit of new!! I do have tea towels specific for things, but I know I can wash ones not “meant for” mucking up so I try not to let it get to me when my roomie uses them. 😂 took some practice to get used to the idea and be comfortable with it tho. I *do* use the cutest ones as hand towels in the guest bathroom now, instead!!

You should totally use that leaf bowl for sauces! Say you have a fancy dinner where you have a sauce with a steak or fish or what have you, and you pour the sauce out of your leaf bowl! You could even make it Herbology/Enchanted Forest themed with your other forest-y pieces! Love your channel and your style!

Tea towels are for drying clean things - dishes/hands. Kitchen towel is for wiping up and disposing of messes like spilled curry. A dish cloth would also be acceptable, but will get stained.

I'm with you on the mucky tea towels and hand tea towels. But also i have zero fluff tea towels for drying glasses as I hate the wet spots from air drying a glass and hate fluff sticking to them. The leaf dish wiuld be perfect for by the sink in the kitchen or bathroom for rings and other jewellery you take off in that space. Also yes! Solid soap in the delicates drawer.

If i have too many mugs, I start using them for other things. Pens, Paint brushes, pencil crayons, qtips. That way you use them and can enjoy them without having to find a cabinet to shove them all in too.

I absolutely have items like seasonal kitchen towels that are only for decoration in all parts of my home. I also grab greeting cards as I find them so I have them as I need them because I always find the best ones when I'm not actually card shopping. How about using the bowl for all the lovely conkers your partner is finding for you.

I have one tea towel to wipe my hands, one to wipe the dirtier stuff and one (the prettiest one) to wipe clean dishes. All three always have the same decorative theme and I change them seasonally. 🍁👻For the Autumn/Halloween season, I have a dozen or so dishcloths and towels.... this is stronger than me 😅
