I second what Austin said... insight in ways that aren’t traditional guitar “lessons”. More like insights into how life and experience make it into the music. Thanks man.

It should be called “Things You Should Actually Fucking Know”, honestly. It’s a guide for intermediate and advanced/pro players alike on just good attitudes and mindsets in the workplace of a Session Man. And actual helpful things to know about your gear. I’ll also own one of those Duesenburgs solely because of these videos, and your Gettin In Tune intro jam. Blessed be the jams.

Hey Tom, thanks for a solid year--you've made the time fly by, and made the year better for a lot of us. And to any of my classmates with the Christmas affliction Uncle Larry mentioned, reach out to your friends here at Homeskoolin anytime, we're here for you. And I'm glad to report that I got to close down what may be the last class of the year, a bittersweet moment indeed, with an ice cold Rolling Rock in hand at just about 2am. Thanks Tom...seriously.

Hey uncle Larry, greetings from Canada. I'm new to your channel, (maybe a month and a bit), it's refreshing to see simple, no nonsense, non edited, one take content like yours. Love the playing, the lessons and the session man stories! It's opened my eyes to the world of hired guns like yourself and Tim Pierce. I've just finished watching some vids from when you played with Joe Walsh during the Tom Petty tour! It's so neat to see the guy who we 've all been watching in your vids... just a modest, salt of the earth kinda guy, just having a jam in his garage while his kids are poking their heads into see what's dad 's up to... to then see you up on the big stage rubbing shoulders with some of the greats! It's wicked awsome...! I found myself not even watching Joe Walsh, I was to busy watching you beside him, thinking to my self "hey... there's our little Tommy, look at him go!!!!". Anyways man, your a badass and keep up the great work.

I'll never forget when the The Dregs played in our little pub in Murfreesboro NC I think in 1981,1982. It was an amazing show. I was in awe of Morse's playing and the incredible tightness of that band. A real treat to see them that up close.

Love Steve as well. In my high school years and early college days I’d catch the Steve Morse band whenever they came within 100 miles. I spent hours upon hours learning dregs songs like ice cakes and Gina Lola breakdown and northern lights .The absolute master of alternate picking and a beast classical player. He and LaRue live did some great stuff. A friend of mine took lessons from Dave and I’d go see his band LAX as well. Steves first solo record with cruise middle blew my mind. He always inspired me to practice Bc he was the kind of guy you knew always had a guitar in his hand. I used to read stories about him practicing classical guitar while driving when he was in school. Just an absolute guitar Jedi and and a cool guy whenever I got a chance to talk with him after a show. He gave a me a few picks and an Ernie ball t shirt one time after a show in a club in Philly. Spent years enamored with him as a player.

"Can't You Hear Me Knocking", "Mississippi Queen" and I would add "Stay With Me" by The Faces to that list. The new guitar looks and sounds great! Always love when you can see the wood. Too bad the metal trim between the pickups and pick guard gets in the way. It looks cool, like the chrome trim on an old classic American auto. But, if it's in the way, sorry, it's gotta go! Happy Holidays to you and your family!

Nice episode (?) Webisode (?) Xmas depression thing was positive message. Never suffered from it (knowingly) but I suppose I did get anxious about the Holiday season for a long time. Your very own Duess - The Little Duess Buk. Beautiful guitar. Finally, Steve Morse is a beast, love to see you spread the gospel. I saw him way back in 88. His show was $11 or $9 if you wanted to get in early and watch a demo / talk he was doing. Mind blowing. His explanation (or lack of being able to provide one) for Tumeni Notes still makes me laugh. He would try to talk about it and then just say - just watch this. Happy Holidays to the Buks.

Hey Tom, Couple quick hits... First - I am extremely grateful for your tutelage. The knowledge you are sharing is a life times worth. Thank you! Second, as a fellow tone freak, I assume you are a fan of Savoy Brown. With all the keyboard and guitar intermingled in some of their tunes. I have found them again recently and have a whole new appreciation for the musicianship on display within these early records (mostly due to our class). Street Corner Talking is amazing and specifically the song All I Can Do. Perhaps you might expounds bit on what is going on in this song. I find it extremely pleasant and really get a gas out of playing with the track. Keep on shining 👍✌️
