Thanks Steve...for the "Love" that you send us through "Ghost Wind." To me, it's a healing song...a beacon of light through the darkness. Please send us more...we are all in desperate need.

Not too many instrumentals can bring this kind of sheer emotion. Hits me in the feels every time. One of my favourites from a legend.

Same here. This song brings a tear to my eye. It has such a longing, forlorn sound to it but in an incredibly beautiful way.

High Tension Wires was a revelation the first time I listened to it. Every composition a masterpiece. Released in 1989...it has stood the test of time. “Tumeni Notes” and “Country Colors” give further testimony to Steve’s incredible talent and virtuosity. Also, I’m really glad Steve and Dave linked up! What an incredible duo. I’ve recently followed their work in Flying Colors. They sound terrific in that super group as well. I think Steve has been discovered by a whole new group of fans with his playing in Deep Purple. I urge those that know Steve only through DP to discover Steve’s work with the Dixie Dregs, the Dregs, Steve Morse Band, Living Loud, Flying Colors, Anglefire, his work with various other artists. You won’t be disappointed! Promise!

I have met Steve Morse and Dave Larue twice and they are the most genuine, nice, humble people you will ever meet. They took time to answer questions, sign autographs, and talk to the audience. Wonderful people. They even thanked the lousy opening acts which hurt my ears. I will continue to have great respect for them as some of the best musicians and people.

Wow. Listened a lot to this album 20 or so years ago, when i was starting out on guitar and was blown away by the beautiful melodies and the incredible technique. Comming back and listening to it today i really appreciate the composition, every note and chord so masterfully put toghether. What a master piece of an album and what a great composer.

I had a clinic with Steve in Rome in 1999...fantastic teacher and humble guy! He remained with us 1 hour more, signing lot of pictures and shooting lot of pictures. For me too High tension wires is the best album, the second is The introduction. Long life to Steve!!!

I saw these two (and drummer) in Toronto at the Rock n Roll Heaven upstairs in the late eighties. I still have the ticket stub somewhere and I got great pics we were right up front, very memorable his playing fires on all emotions, he's flawless and I left the show awestruck .

The end of this song makes me cry...IDK how he gets that B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-l tone...His Vibrato is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G and points on this tune, sounds like he's playing slide, but he isn't. Dammit Steve, you make me want to burn my geetars. You are the BEST.

Obviously when you think of Steve Morse, you remember the blinding runs. He is also a master of harmonics and can make a guitar sing like no one else.

very nice version, captures the essence of the studio version nicely. seen 'em live a few years back at a music fest in Newport, RI. e-mailed Dave/Steve beforehand and asked if they would play "Foreign Exchange" (off Structural Damage CD) and they did! great technique, loads of soul pouring out. a class act all the way. hope to catch 'em and/or the Dregs again next time they come around....

I couldn't even make such a great mistake at 2.08. It's sweet when such a great musician proofs, he is still a human being. I don't mean his technical ability but sense of beauty when improvising. Such talents drop on earth like meteors from above. Steve you are THE BEST!!
@josephfinn62442 жыл бұрын
His playing is so good that, even after playing that 2:08 section repeatedly, I simply don't hear a mistake. To me it's just Steve doing what he does best - take us on a melodic journey

You can see (and hear) why Steve is one of only 3 guitarists to win "Best Overall Guitarist of the Year" award (rock, jazz, classical, country, etc.) 5 years in a row - Your "retired" from the competition after that. Steve Howe (YES) and Eric Johnson are the others. Dave LaRue is one of the top bass players in the world. Check out: "Steve Morse Band - Live 1990, Full Concert". A professional audio/visual recording at a small venue for a TV show in Germany. Multiple cameras and a great production.
