I started watching your videos while she was in the hospital and after she passed away. They’ve been like an escape for me over the past two and a half years. If the area where your nuts fall is not covered in sticks and brush there is a device called "Bag a Nut" that makes collecting them easier. It looks kind of like a old fashioned push mower but it sweeps the nuts into a collection tray that is easily emptied for collection. No more back pain from spending hours bent over.

When I was little my grandma used to put an egg right in front of a light bulb lamp - next to the large end of the egg and you will see the inside of the shell illuminated. If there was a spot inside she would put that egg in the incubator to hatch. That memory always comes to mind when you mention your egg history.

my house yet way smaller than yours, built in 1965, and i started renovating it in 2018, I am not finished. I had a contractor to help with plumbing removing a wall, But as for the tile flooring and new walls I have done it all myself. When we gutted the bathroom dec 2018, it was 9 months later when I finally got a new vanity in there, but it had a leak behind the shower, which leaked into the paneling walls in the kitchen and parts of the laundry room, so when I finally was able to replace the walls etc, best thing ever.

Jamerrill, I have cooked eggs for years in an egg poacher in the microwave. I believe the time depends on the strength of the microwave and with yours being new and obviously very strong I would try 45 seconds increasing only after checking by 10 seconds each time. Hope this helps!

I found every second of this video interesting! I don’t know how you do everything that you do, but you manage to get everything done, and that includes cooking many delicious meals and keeping your beautiful kitchen looking great! I’ve only commented a couple times before this, however I might have mentioned that my husband was from a family of ten. His sweet mother’s kitchen was small, compared to yours, and she only had two freezers. They were large, though, and one was full of meats, beef and pork, which they grew on their farm. The other freezer was filled with vegetables and fruits, most of which came from her garden. She managed with these, plus a weekly haul from the grocery. I loved eating her meals and helping her clean up her kitchen and dining room. I loved just being with her! She was sweet, like you!

For burnt pots, I use 1 scoop of oxyclean and fill the pot 1/4 full with water, put the pot back on the stove, and heat up the water to almost a boil. Allow this to soak for a couple of hours and it is so much easier to clean. I use this on my enameled cast iron and stainless steal.

Poached eggs in microwave, must pierce yolk and add spoon of water. Time depends on wattage, it’s usually 90 seconds for 2. However check after 30 to 40 seconds. Your egg most likely exploded out of the microwave as it may have still been cooking. Glad you or the kids weren’t hurt.😮
