Springtime is very busy on the homestead and the work needs to be done even when a new baby arrives. I prepared as much as possible in advance, but some things just couldn't be done ahead of time - like sewing seeds in the spring garden. Spend a week with me getting stuff done in the kitchen and in the garden with my new little baby in tow - he was 3 weeks when I filmed this video so I had to have some help and take lots of breaks in-between tasks, but I was able to cross the must-do's off my list!

Oh Steph! If I was only 30 years younger! I’m an RN who ended up as a single mother, raising a daughter, and felt torn my entire life. I wanted the kind of life that you are blessed with, but God had a different plan for me. I was mother, father, head chef, mechanic….the whole thing. I waited a lifetime, but God brought me a man who is beyond my dreams. My child bearing years are way over and I’m retiring from nursing. So, I’m now a homemaker and take care of my wonderful husband. We are putting up 2 large raised beds for gardening and have canned a lot last year from produce from a local farmer. I live vicariously through your videos as well as Three Rivers Homestead, Homesteading with the Zimmermans, Farmhouse on Boone, Our Oily House, and Lewis Acre Homestead. It brings me such joy watching you all live your best lives and I’m truly thankful to see you so blessed!! If I had my life to live over again…..Sometimes I get sad thinking about how wonderful it would’ve been to have a child with my husband….he’s a great Dad. He’s old school and knows how to take care of a wife and home….he does the little things…..treats me like a queen! He’s absolutely my king and being able to experience a more traditional role like my mother, has made my soul sing! I pray for you all and am so proud of you! What a wonderful example you are of being a wife, mother, homemaker and sister to those of us watching! God bless you, your family and that precious babe!!❤️❤️❤️

Way to go on saving that sourdough. I have a hundred-year-old starter, it has been passed around in our family/neighborhood and town for generations. We were taught to always have a little bit of dried-out starter saved in a jar out on the shelf. It never goes bad. Every 3-4 years, I dry out a new batch (a tablespoon) to replace my old one.

I love that you found a few dried preserved sourdough starter crusts. God is so good, even when we think something is lost or gone, He knows how disappointing that was and recovered it in a beautiful way. I remember listening one time to a video you had and you said you follow a certain religion. I followed religion too until I started reading the Bible and saw how different what the word of God says to what man made religion says. My husband is the head of our home, he covers and protects me so I can be an umbrella of protection to our home and children. God is the cover to Jesus/Yeshua and Yeshua is to our husbands. Some people think the church is the covering to the husband but scripture shows us that our Savior is that covering to our husband. I loved how you did not fight that role we each have been given but embrace the dear sweet role God has given to us that we are equipped for. Love that. 1 Corinthians 11:3 King James Version 3 But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God.

Do you mind sharing what size nueflora dress you usually get? I have a similar body type and looks like similar size to you. Deciding between medium and large. They are pricey so I’d like to make sure I have the right size before buying. Thanks!

@@HopewellHeights I’d really like to know! I’ve been wanting a freeze dryer after following a lot of people who have had one. I’ve only heard one person give feedback on the power bill the other night. She said her power bill was quadrupled. 😬 That would change my mind if multiple people said that.

Once baby has decent head control I like to wear them on my back in a woven wrap, so much easier on the back!

What kind of carrier have you tried? It's really helpful to get one with hip support, not thr ones that only attach at the shoulders. Helps keep the weight from pulling on your back

At least for now, unless the baby is really light, only a few weeks old usually, it just hurts too much on my back or front. It's sad to me, I have always dreamed of baby wearing with my own bundles of joy, but I've been thrown from a car at 80mph, and had shoulder surgery, it's a miracle im not just paralyzed, i can do most things, but i have daily pain.

John 1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. There was a man sent from God, whose name [was] John. The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all [men] through him might believe. He was not that Light, but [was sent] to bear witness of that Light. [That] was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world. He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. He came unto his own, and his own received him not. But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, [even] to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
