Was still in the Marine Corps and walked into the bank right by the main gate on Camp Pendleton wearing my Jimmy G jersey the day or so after he was drafted and one of the ladies working came up to me and said my nephew was just drafted by the 49ers, Fred Warner. I told her Wow, I'd seen the draft and was super excited to have him. Now in 2023, He's "All Pro" Fred and hope he retires a 49er

i love Willis one of my favorite players of all time was happy when we drafted him but Fred is right there with him and I hope we can do what we couldn't do for Willis and that's get Fred a ring and put him in the conversation as greatest line backer when his career is all said and done.

Fred is my fav player in the NFL (and Kittle). He’s just an amazing player and character. The way he told that one kid that really wants to be in the nf: “you will get there” I found so heartwarming. I don’t like Mission Hill’s history and culture as an athletic program. Always a negative experience playing against them, across multiple sports. They always talked the most trash out of any school that I played and I have multiple experiences of both athletes and parents cheating. Their head football coach also refused to sit out a player who was complaining about a severe headache-to the point where he couldn’t focus on the ball-and the player suffered a severe brain injury as a result and will be severely disabled for the rest of his life. And that coach is still the head coach there. So yeah, not a great athletic program culture there. But it’s cool that Fred came from here.
